The PlayStation 3 firmware has already been updated this week, and now the PSP is getting its own update. Firmware 6.20 will be released later today, according to the Japanese PlayStation Website. The new update adds support for the PlayStation Video Store in Europe, which also launches today, and the PSP Comic Service.

New Firmware v3.10 Screens
With the official announcement of PS3 Firmware 3.10 earlier this week, Sony has provided us with new new screens of some of the new features. The biggest of which is Facebook integration. While it may not be the same level of integration as Xbox 360, it’s a start. Firmware 3.10 also introduces other changes including a revised layout of how photos are displayed on the XMB. Firmware 3.10 is available to download via the System Update feature on your PS3.

It’s now official – Facebook Integration is coming to the PlayStation 3 in the next firmware update, v3.10. For the moment, the Facebook connectivity on the PlayStation 3 will automatically update your Facebook Newsfeed with trophy and PlayStation Store activity, but more functionality is planned for the future. According to Eric Lempel, “This is just the beginning of our integration with Facebook and we are looking forward to adding new features enhancing the experience in future updates.”
PlayStation Store Update for Nov 12th 2009
This week on the PSP PlayStation Store, three new games are available to download from the European PlayStation Store, and five are available from the US Store. Both stores have received new PSP Minis titles too – three for Europe and one for the US. This week on the PlayStation Store, there are a number of new games and demos available on the US Store. Unfortunately, the European Store only has a number of new DLC, game videos and a few new premium themes. Braid is now available to purchase from the US Store as well as Star Trek: D-A-C. New downloadable content includes new packs for PAIN, two new characters for Rag Doll Kung Fu, and track for Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

This week on the PSP PlayStation Store, more games have a price promotion on the European Store and several new downloadable titles have been added to the US Store, including Numblast and Ghostbusters The Video Game. A new PSP Minis title is available for download from the European Store as well as a PSOne classic. A new episode of PULSE is out now on the US Store, along with a selection of free and premium XMB themes.

This week on the PlayStation Store, additional titles are now available on special offer on the European Store. New playable demos are available on both stores, as well as a selection of game add-on content, including the Brütal Legend – Hextadon Map Pack and limited edition costumes for LittleBigPlanet. On the US Store, you can also find the November episode of Qore and a new episode of PULSE. The US Store also had a few FIFA 10 and Tekken 6 Wallpapers available for download.
VidZone Update for Nov 5th 2009
This week on VidZone, Wolfmother, The Prodigy and Take That are the artists of the week. You can find a exclsuvie The Prodigy interview this week, along with a Wolfmother playlist including all their hits and their soon to be a hit new single “New Moon Rising”. New playlists include Back to the 80’s, 21st Century Rock and Hottie Videos.

On the PSP Store this week, the price promotion on many PSP and PSOne Classics continue on the European Store. Both Stores have a selection of new demos available for download including LocoRoco Midnight Carnival and PixelJunk Monsters Delux. Zombie Tycoon, a new PSP Minis title, is also available for purchase from both stores.

Mike Kebby wasn’t lying last week when he said that Europe would be getting a massive update. Europe has indeed received a massive update with five new playable demos, price promotion on many titles and a plethora of game add-on content, including new packs for Cross Edge, Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero and Rock Band: Beatles. The US Store update is smaller but includes three new demos, add-on game content and videos.
