Square Enix Provides Update on Final Fantasy VII Remake Pre-orders
Final Fantasy VII Remake is still on track to be released on 10th April 2020, but the situation with COVID-19 may affect physical pre-orders. Square Enix has issued an update regarding the situation. If you’re pre-ordered the game from a physical store, you should check with the store on when you can pick up the game.

Square Enix has announced that future DLC for Final Fantasy XV have been cancelled, including Episodes Aranea, Noctis, and Lunafreya. Episode Ardyn is still in development and will be released in March 2019, while the multiplayer expansion Comrades will be released as a standalone title.
Final Fantasy XIV Trial No Longer Restricted to 14-days
In a bid to get more players into Eorzea, Square Enix has lifted the 14 day restrictions on the Final Fantasy XIV trial. Previously, prospective players were able to enjoy the game for up to 14 days, after which a subscription would be required. Now, players will be able to enjoy more of what the game has to offer, all the way up to level 35.
Final Fantasy XIV PS4 Launch Issues
You would think that after the two PS4 betas and the launch issues experienced with the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix and Sony would take extra precautions that the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV would be successful. However, once again the game is experiencing issues, with many gamers unable to play the game.
Square Enix Unveil TGS 2012 Games Line-Up
Publisher Square-Enix has revealed it’s games line-up for the Tokyo Game Show, which will take place later this month. Titles like Final Fantasy XIV, Call of Duty Black Ops II and Hitman Absolution will headlining the publisher’s line-up. Unfortunately, there are no mentions of any PS Vita titles on the list, but maybe we can expect a few announcements at the event.
Square Enix Announces Game Line-up for Gamescom 2012
Square-Enix have announced their line-up of games to feature at Gamescom next month in Cologne, Germany. The line-up includes Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs, amongst other titles.
Final Fantasy XIII Versus Has Not Been Cancelled According to Square-Enix
Square-Enix President Yoichi Wada has this morning denied rumours started by Kotaku that said Final Fantasy XIII Versus had been cancelled. Wada says “someone is spreading a false rumor about Versus being canceled” and that the game is very much still in development.
Square Enix’s Unannounced Game Will Shock You
Square Enix had something up their sleeves, if their twitter account is anything to go by. According to Sonia Im, Senior PR Manager for Square Enix, the company has a unannounced game that will shock people but didn’t reveal what it was. Sonia’s twitter account stated, “Think people are going to be shocked and stoked.”
Square Enix Exploring Possibility of FFVII Remake
A remake of the PSOne classic Final Fantasy VII has been requested ever since a tech demo of the opening sequence of the game was first revealed on the PlayStation 3. Unfortunately, Square Enix has repeatedly said that no remake is currently planned. In a interview with Siliconera during the Final Fantasy XIII launch party, Yoichi Wada, President and CEO of Square Enix, revealed that Square Enix are exploring the possibility of a remake.
