Retro City Rampage is finally releasing in Europe and other territories next week after a very long wait. Like its US counterpart, the game will be cross-buy and cross-save compatible, giving gamers the PS Vita version for free when they purchase the PS3 version (or vice versa).

US PlayStation Plus Update for December 24th 2012
Sony has a nice little treat for PlayStation Plus subscribers this Christmas. This week, the store was updated on Monday, since Tuesday was Christmas day, and Plus subscribers got an early Christmas treat as a result: Retro City Rampage. The game is now part of the Instant Game Collection, available for both the PS Vita and PS3.
Retro City Rampage Submitted for SCEE Certification
Retro City Rampage has gone into certification with SCEE, meaning a European release of the game isn’t too far off now. The developers have used the extra month of time to update the game, making the European version of the game a improvement of the version released in North America back in October.
Retro City Rampage Coming Soon to Europe
Retro City Rampage has been available in North America for a few weeks now, but still remains to be seen in Europe. Brian Provinciano, the man behind Retro City Rampage, has tweeted that the European version of the game is ready for SCEE certification and will be available on the PlayStation Store soon. The game doesn’t have a exact release date, but hopefully the QA process will be smooth and we’ll see the game available in the next few weeks.
Retro City Rampage Delayed in Europe
Expected to release in Europe yesterday, 8-bit open-world title Retro City Rampage is missing from the PlayStation Store in Europe. According to SCEE, the game is “going through certification currently.” The process may be taking longer than usual, especially since the North American version received a day-one patch for critical bugs in the game.

The game will be cross-buy and cross-save compatible, so you’ll get both versions of the game for the price of one. Retro City Rampage has more than 60 Story missions that span driving, stealth, platforming, shooting, swimming, and questing.
