Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 6 will be receiving a free update in December, which will address concerns reported by players since the game’s release. One of the changes includes Ada Wong’s campaign being playable from the start, instead of having to unlock it by completing the campaign using the other playable characters.

Resident Evil 6 Ships 4.5 Million Copies
Capcom has shipped a “record breaking” 4.5 million copies of horror title Resident Evil 6 worldwide. The figure is a new company record according to Capcom, which shipped 4.4 million copies of Resident Evil 5 back in 2009. The company is expecting the game to sell 7 million copies by the end March 31st, 3012.

According to the ESRB rating for Resident Evil 6, the game has been given a M “Mature” rating due to the violence, blood and gore, strong language and suggestive themes. However, the rating also reveals that the game contains nudity.

Capcom has announced the contents of the Resident Evil 6 Collector’s Edition. The announcement, on the Capcom Blog, indicates the collection is coming to Europe and is available to pre-order from today. The collector’s edition will only be available from select retailers, with the UK’s exclusive retailer still waiting confirmation.
