Sony has added PayPal as a payment option to top up your PSN / SEN account, adding to the existing options of using a Credit Card and Pre-paid PSN Cards. The new option is available online only via the SEN website. The addition is a welcome one, giving customers additional ways to top-up their account.

PlayStation Network Maintenance on October 15th 2012
The PlayStation Network will be undergoing maintenance next Monday, lasting until early Tuesday morning. The Network will be offline from 1:00pm BST on Monday until approximately 2:00am BST on Tuesday. As usual, the PlayStation Store, Account features and online gameplay will be inaccessible during this time.
Planet in Distress (PID) Coming to PSN
After almost two years of development, Might and Delight have announced that Planet in Distress, or PID, is coming soon to the PlayStation Network. In the platform game, you play a little boy who travels around using beams of light, along with other tools to use.
Top PSN Sellers for September 2012 in North America
SCEA has released the chart of top selling PSN titles for September 2012. The top selling PS3 title was The Walking Dead – Episode 3: Long Road Ahead, followed by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. On the PS Vita, the top selling title was LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, despite the game being released at the end of the month.
Retro City Rampage Releases on PS3 and PS Vita Today in North America
8-bit open-world title Retro City Rampage releases on to the PlayStation Network later today in North America for both the PS3 and PS Vita. The game will be cross-buy and cross-save compatible, so you’ll get both versions of the game for the price of one. Retro City Rampage has more than 60 Story missions that span driving, stealth, platforming, shooting, swimming, and questing.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for September 2012
SCEE have started to publish a monthly chart of the top downloaded content from the PlayStation Store across PAL regions – similar to the Top 10 chart published by SCEA. In September, the top downloaded PSN title was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, while FIFA 13, was the top downloaded PS3 title.
SCEA Reveals 8 Titles for Day 1 Digital Release
October is a huge month for PlayStation, with a plethora of AAA titles hitting store shelves over the next four weeks. SCEA has revealed that eight of the titles will be available on the PlayStation Network the same day the games hit retail, thorugh a new program called PSN Day 1 Digital.
Borderlands 2 Gets Simultaneous PSN Digital Release
Borderlands 2 is just a week away from release, and Take Two has revealed that the game will be getting a PSN digital release on the same day the retail version goes on sale. If you don’t want to wait to get your game on launch day, you can pre-order the digital copy from the PlayStation Store, and have it automatically download to the PS3 when it’s up (PlayStation Plus subscribers only).
Top PSN Sellers for August 2012
Sony has released the top PSN download chart for August in North America. The most downloaded PS3 title was Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, followed by Episode 3 of The Walking Dead. On the PS Vita, Sound Shapes, was the top selling title followed by AR Play title Table Top Tanks.
The Walking Dead: Episode 3 Finally Available in Europe
The PlayStation Store has been updated outside of the regular Wednesday schedule to release the third episode of Telltale Game’s The Walking Dead. After silence from SCEE and the developers, the third episode if finally available to download. Episode 2 was also delayed for unknown reasons back in July.
