The first Top Download list of 2017 has been revealed for North America, listing the top downloaded titles in January 2017. ARK: Survivor’s Pack was the top downloaded game on the PS4, beating RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard. Surprisingly, majority of the PS4 chart was filled with old titles making a re-entry, thanks to the January Sales.

PAL PlayStation Store Chart for December 2016 & Overall Best Sellers
Sony has released the PlayStation Store sales chart for December 2016, as well as the overall best-sellers for 2016. Starting with the latter, Rocket League was the best selling title in 2016, beating FIFA 17 and Battlefield 4, which come in second and third place, respectively. As for December’s PlayStation Store chart, Ark: Survival Evolved beat out other holiday heavy hitters to debut at the chart’s top spot.

Sony America has released details on the top selling PlayStation Store games for Decemeber 2016, and the best-sellers overall in 2016. The best selling title on the PS4 was Rocket League, followed by Battlefield 1, and Minecraft. As for December 2016, ARK: Survivor’s Pack was the top seller on the PS4.
Top PSN Sellers for November 2016 in North America
November was jam-packed with lots of new releases, including Watch Dogs 2, Final Fantasy XV and more. New release Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare debuted on the PS4 chart at number one, pushing previous top seller Battlefield 1 into second place. Final Fantasy XV debuted at number three, while Watch Dogs 2 came in seventh.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for November 2016
As we head towards the end of the year, Sony has revealed the top selling digital titles on the PlayStation Store in Europe. There were lots of new releases in November, including Watch Dogs 2, Titanfall 2 and Final Fantasy XV, but new-entry Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare reigned supreme and beat everyone to the punch. Watch Dogs 2 debuted in third place, and Final Fantasy XV came in sixth.

October 2016 saw the release of many new titles, including a host of PlayStation VR titles. However, Battlefield 1 finished top of the class beating last month’s top seller, FIFA 17, and other new releases like Mafia III and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. Several PlayStation VR titles made it into the top 20 this month, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End made a re-entry into the chart in 7th place.

The PlayStation Store Chart has been revealed for September 2016, revealing the top selling digital titles in North America. On the PS4, sports games dominated the top 5, with NBA 2K17 selling the most number of digital copies, beating FIFA 17 and Madden NFL 17, which closed in second and third places, respectively. On the PS3, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 was the top selling title, again beating FIFA 17.

The European PlayStation Store chart has been released for September, and reveals that FIFA 17 was the top selling title, despite launching in it’s final week. The game managed to top both the PS4 and PS3 downloads chart, beating the other major new entry Destiny: Rise of Iron, although it did manage to steal second place. PAL PlayStation Store Chart for August 2016
The PlayStation Store Chart for August 2016 has been released by Sony, revealing the top selling games on all three PlayStation platforms. On the PS4, it’s no surprised that highly anticipated No Man’s Sky was the top seller in August. Telltale Games’ newest episodic title based, Batman, debuted on the chart in seventh place, and new entry ABZÛ, debuted in 18th place. There were no new entries on the PS3 or PS Vita charts, so the charts were dominated by the usual contenders.
Sony Improves PSN Security with Two Factor Authentication
Sony has finally beefed up security on the PlayStation Network by introducing 2-Step Verification (2SV). Users can opt-in to 2SV to add an additional layer of security to their PSN Account. If you’re unfamiliar with 2SV, it’s basically a two step process that uses SMS to send time-limited, unique codes to your mobile to confirm your identity. This means that anyone trying to access your account would need to know your email / password, and have access to your mobile device.
