GTA V Coming to PS5 in 2021

Rockstar Games has revealed an expanded and enhanced version of GTA V for the PS5, coming to the console in 2021. GTA Online will be free to all PS5 owners when the game launches too, and current owners will benefit from today (see below).

The PS5 reveal earlier today revealed more information on the upcoming console and games. The PS5 console itself was finally revealed after the hour long presentation, along with official accessories.

Sony has rescheduled it’s PS5 event that was originally planned for last Thursday, 4th June. The event will now go ahead this Thursday, 11th June 2020 at the same time of 9pm BST / 10pm CEST.

There still appears to be some confusing about the PS5’s backwards compatibility, and recent changes to the PS5 website aren’t helping. Following Mark Cerny’s presentation on the technical aspects of the PS5, Sony clarified that most games PS4 will be playable on the PS5.

Epic Games have confirmed that Fortnite will be available on next-gen consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X, as launch titles. Epic Games has confirmed that their current Unreal Engine 4.25 already supports both next-gen platforms, and Unreal Engine 5 will be available in 2021.
