The US PlayStation Store has received a moderately small update this week, with just a handful of new games and DLC content. Zen Pinball 2 is now available to download for the PS4 and Sonic All-stars Racing Transformed has been added to the Instant Game Collection. You can also find new DLC for games including GTA V (PS3), The Playroom (PS4) and The Walking Dead Season Two.

Killzone: Shadow Fall Updated to v1.07
Guerrilla Games has released patch v1.07 for Killzone: Shadow Fall with a number of minor tweaks and improvements to the game, including the inclusion of Team based voice chat and other gameplay improvements. The Radar has also been improved to show larger objective icons and party members in blue, while three settings for colour blind players has also been added.
Game Install Times Much Faster on PS4
Both the PS4 and Xbox One require to install games on the consoles, but you’ll be surprised just how vast the difference in install times are between the two consoles. A video from Kotaku compares the PS4 and Xbox One in installing Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, of which the results are astonishing. The PS4 takes just 42 seconds to install, while the Xbox takes almost 6 minutes with no updated, and a massive 10 minutes with downloading patches.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Announced for PS4
Czech-based indie developer, Warhorse Sutdios, has announced a open-world RPG for PC and next-gen consoles, including the PS4, called Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Set during the Middle Ages, players will explore a vast open world, brought to life by CryENGINE 3 and a talented team who has worked on hits such as Mafia, Crysis, and Operation Flashpoint.
EU PlayStation Store Update for December 18th 2013
Lots of new content has been added to the PlayStation Store in Europe this week, with three new PS4 games, 12 new PS3 games and nine new PS Vita games. New games include Backgammon Blitz (PS4, PS Vita), Minecraft (PS3) and the first episode of Broken Sword – The Serpent’S Curse (PS Vita).

Lots of new content has been added to the North American PlayStation Store this week, including two new PS4 games, five new PS3 games, and seven new PS Vita titles. New games include cross-buy title flOw (PS Vita, PS4), the first episode in Season 2 of The Walking Dead series (PS3) and Minecraft (PS3). There is also plenty of new DLC content, holiday discounts and other content to find on the store.
PS4 Confirmed as Biggest Console Launch
DFC has confirmed that Sony’s PS4 was the biggest console launch of all time in terms of hardware unit sales, beating the two previous record holders: the Nintendo Wii and PS2. The PS4 sold more consoles in the first two weeks on sale that any other console, including Microsoft’s Xbox One.
NPD Figures for November 2013 Reveal PS4 as Top Selling Platform, Xbox One Fastest Selling
According to the latest NPD figures, the PS4 was the biggest selling console in the US last month, but the Xbox One was the faster selling one. We already know that the PS4 managed to sell over one million units in the first 24 hours, while the Xbox One managed to sell approximately 101k every day. It wasn’t revealed how many units the PS4 sold exactly in November, however.
PS4 Now Available in 48 Countries
The PS4 has launched in eleven more counties as of this morning, adding Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and South Africa to the list of launch countries. This means the PS4 is now available in 48 countries around the world, compared to just 13 countries for the Xbox One.
PS4 System Software Ver. 1.52
Sony has released PS4 Firmware 1.52, which is an incremental update that “Improves System Stability”. The update should fix issues with games that crash often. The update should have already been downloaded to your console via the Auto Downloads system, but you can manually update the software from the Settings menu.
