Konami has revealed a Limited Edition PS4 console with Metal Gear Solid 5 branding, dubbed the “Fox Edition”. The console will come with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, and will be available to purchase on March 20th 2014 in Japan for ¥46,980. The Limited Edition console itself features nothing more than a Foxhoud decal.

Lego Movie Videogame Tops UK Games Chart
FIFA 14 has dropped three places to take 4th position, while newcomers The Lego Movie Videogame tops the UK chart, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII debuting in 3rd position. The chart in general has had quite a reshuffle, with Killzone: Shadow Fall also dropping to 13th place, and Battlefield 4 also dropping to 7th.
Metal Gear Solid V Runs at 1080p at 60fps on PS4
Konami has revealed the graphical differences of Metal Gear Solid V between the different PlayStation and Xbox consoles it will be available on. The PS4 version will be the only console to support full 1080p resolution at 60fps, while the Xbox One will run at 720p resolution with 60 fps. Both the previous-gen consoles will run at 720p at 30fps with internal scaling.
March PlayStation Plus Update May Include Dead Nation and Tomb Raider
GamePointsNow has supposedly leaked the content of March’s PlayStation Plus update for Europe, revealing the new games coming to the Instant Game Collection on the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The leak suggests that Housemarque’s Dead Nation will be coming to the PS4, though the title hasn’t been confirmed for PS4 release yet.
PS4 Almost Doubled Xbox One Sales in January 2014
New figures from NPD have revealed that the PS4 has extended its lead over the Xbox One, “nearly doubling” it’s sales. Microsoft didn’t specify exactly how many units were sold, but the report reveals that 280,000 PS4 units were sold, while an estimated 145,000 Xbox One units were sold in January.
Final Fantasy XIV Beta Coming to PS4 in February, Releases in April
Square-Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be releasing on the PS4 on April 14th 2014, with a beta starting on February 22nd. The beta will be available to anyone with a PS4 and can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store.
FIFA 14 Returns to Top of UK Games Chart
Lara Croft couldn’t keep FIFA 14 off the top spot for very long, as the football game has returned to the top of the UK Games chart this week. In fact, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has dropped to 4th place. PS4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall has gained a place, surprisingly, finishing in 9th position (up from 10th).
PS4 System Software Ver. 1.60
Sony has released a new Firmware update for the PS4, adding support for the official PlayStation wireless headsets including the original Wireless headset, the Pulse Wireless Headset and the new Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 (available to purchase soon). The update also adds the ability to mute the microphone on the PS Camera.
Tomb Raider Steals Top Spot in UK Games Chart
FIFA 14 has finally be knocked off the top spot in the UK Games Chart after four weeks, thanks to the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on PS4 and Xbox One. According to EuroGamer, the PS4 version accounted for 69% of all sales. PS4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall has dropped a further three places to finish in 10th position.
Sony Reveals Wireless Stereo Headset for PS4
Sony has announced a new wireless headset for the PS4, called “Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0”, along with support for the two previous wireless headsets on the PS3. PS4 Firmware v1.60, releasing tomorrow, will adds support for the official PlayStation headsets, while the new 2.0 version will be available from February 10th 2014.
