PS4 Firmware v1.70 is the first major firmware update to hit the console since Firmware v1.50 was released when the PS4 first launched. Sony has listened to gamer feedback and incorporated many requested changes into this update, including dimming of the DualShock 4’s lightbar, and improving the Sharing functionality.

12 New Indie Games Announced for PS4 and PS Vita
SCEA has announced a massive 12 new Indie games, which will be coming to the PS4 and PS Vita over the coming months. These 12 new games are on top of those already announced, including Transistor, The Witness and Velocity 2X.

PS4 Firmware v1.70 was released earlier today, featuring a number of changes and improvements to the System Software. However, Sony has also made a number of undocumented changes to the system, which we’ve discovered while playing with the latest update.
US PlayStation Store Update for April 29th 2014
New content is available on the US PlayStation Store this week, with Watch_Dogs (PS4) and Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS3) now available to pre-order. You can also find three new PS4 games and nine new PS3 games, including Child of Light, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
PS4 Firmware v1.70 Full Feature List
PS4 firmware v1.70 is now available to download, and brings with it a massive number of new features and improvements. Along with the previously mentioned new features, including SHAREfactory, HDCP off for games and USB export options, the new firmware update also adds options to dim the lightbar on the DualShock 4, adds new Friend options, Trophy sorting and a whole lot more.
DRIVECLUB Release Date Revealed
The release date for DRIVECLUB on the PS4 has finally been revealed. The game was originally expected to be a launch title, but was later delayed to give the game an extra layer of polish. Several months on, a release date has finally been revealed: October 7th 2014.
Exporting Screenshots and Video Footage to External USB Devices
With the release of Firmware v1.70 for the PS4, Sony enabled the exporting of saved videos and screenshots to external devices. You need to have a FAT32 formatted USB drive in order to copy content across.

PS4 Firmware v1.70 releases in just a couple of days, bringing many features and improvements to the system, including recording of HD game footage to external devices, the SHAREfactory video editing application and more. PlayStation Japan has released a video to show more of the new features in action, but in Japanese of course.
PS4 Firmware v1.70 Releasing April 30th 2014
The Official PlayStation Page for Greece on Facebook has accidentally revealed that the next major firmware for the PS4, version v1.70, will be releasing next Wednesday, 30th April 2014. The Facebook post has since been deleted, but not before we were able to snap a screenshot of it.
EU PlayStation Store Update for April 23rd 2014
New PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games are available to download on the European PlayStation Store this week, including Octodad: Dadliest Catch (PS4), Putty Squad (PS4 + PS Vita) and SoulCalibur Lost Swords. You can also find a selection of new DLC content and five new PS Mobile games to enjoy.
