Sony announced the next major firmware update for the PS4 at it’s Gamescom conference, detailing a few of the new features we’ll see in Firmware v2.00. Unfortunately, the firmware didn’t get a firm release date, but Sony did mention that its scheduled for release this autumn. The update will include YouTube support, supporting both video uploading using the Share button, and playback via a dedicated YouTube App.

Hotline Miami Hits PS4 Next Week

A little over one year ago, Jonatan Söderström and Dennis Wedin’s Hotline Miami launched on PS3 and PS Vita, but this week it was announced that the title will also be coming to the PS4. The game will be releasing on the PS4 in North America on August 19th 2014, and the following day in Europe. The PS4 version of the game include improved controls, including the use of the PS4 touchpad to look around and lock on enemies.
Hustle Kings Free-to-Play Version Coming Soon to PS4

Pure Pool, developed by VooFoo and published by Ripstone, was released on PS4 three weeks ago, and today it’s been announced that Hustle Kings, a PS3 game also developed by VooFoo, is coming to the PS4, but developed by another studio. Seeing as VooFoo build Pure Pool based on a success of Hustle Kings, it may leave fans of the indie studio somewhat disappointed.
DRIVECLUB Gets Special Edition

A special edition of DRIVECLUB has been revealed ahead of Gamescom 2014, which kicks-off tomorrow. The Special Edition will be available across Europe from October 8th 2014, and will come with exclusive content to give gamers a head-start over the competition, including instant access to five high performance cars.
Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition Coming to PS4 in October

Remastering of current-generation games is becoming common place at the moment, with yet another title making the jump to next-gen consoles. Sleeping Dogs is the latest game to be rebuild for next-gen consoles, and will be heading to the PS4 and Xbox One in October 2014. The Definitive Edition of the game will include all the previously released DLCs too.
PS4 Games Added to PlayStation Store Summer Sale in Europe

The Summer Sale kicked off on the PlayStation Store last week, and continues into this week, with new titles added to the same. In fact, 38 PS4 games have gone on sale today, ranging from AAA releases to indie games. There are some good titles in the mix, although some of them have been previously available as part of the Instant Game Collection.
LittleBigPlanet 3 Pre-order Extras Detailed for Europe

Sony and MediaMolecule have detailed the pre-order bonuses for LittleBigPlanet 3 in Europe, which are similar to those in North America. The game will be releasing on the PS4 and PS3 on 19th November, 2014, and you’ll be able to get your hands on a number of bonuses if you pre-order the game before release, which are available exclusively for the PS4.
PlayStation Now May Support PS4 Games in Future

The PlayStation Now beta in North America is now in full swing, and while the service is currently only offering PS3 and PSN games, it sounds like Sony may open up the platform further to support all PlayStation games, including PS4 titles. An unnamed Sony representative sent Kotaku information about the PlayStation Now service following an interview with Jack Buser, the Senior Director for PlayStation Now.
The Last of Us is Back on Top of UK Charts

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us has taken the top spot in the UK charts once again, thanks to the Remastered edition of the game for the PS4. The PS4 title has managed to beat multi-format Watch_Dogs, which has dominated the charts for the last several weeks. The Last of Us Remastered is the fifth largest release of 2014 to date and also the fourth largest launch on the PlayStation 4, just behind InFamous: Second Son.
PlayStation Plus Line-up for August 2014 Confirmed for North America

SCEA has revealed the new games coming to PlayStation Plus this month, which are mostly similar to what Europe is getting. Two of the games in this month’s collection will be completely new, and available to PlayStation Plus subscribers the day they’re released on the PlayStation Store: Road Not Taken (PS4) and Metrico (PS Vita).
