PlayStation Experience saw a number of new announcements and trailers for upcoming games to all three of Sony’s consoles. You may have already seen the Uncharted 4 gameplay trailer and the Final Fantasy VII trailer, but here’s the other trailers and videos from the event.
At PlayStation Experience, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII is coming to the PS4, which is sure to make fans of the game happy. However, it’s not the remake we were all hoping for – instead, it’s a port of the PC version of the game. Details on potential changes to the game are unavailable at the moment, so it could be a straight port of the game.
Sony and Naughty Dog has revealed the first gameplay video for upcoming PS4 title Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The gameplay video was unveiled at PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas earlier today, showing a pre-alpha build of the game. Even in this early stage of development, the game is pretty amazing already.
Three new deals are available on the PlayStation Store, as the third day of Sony’s 12 Deals of Christmas begins. For the next 48 hours, you can get over 50% off Battlefield 4: Premium Edition (PS4, PS3) and Danganronpa 2 (PS Vita).
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store, including eight new PS4 games, eight new PS3 games and five new PS Vita games. December’s Instant Game Collection is also live, featuring Injustice Gods Among Us, Secret Ponchos and Titan Attacks.
Kotaku is reporting that the next Assassin’s Creed title will be set in London, and will be called Assassin’s Creed: Victory. Victory will take place in the Victorian Era, but details about the exact part of the Era, the protagonist and story are still unknown. Kotaku also reports that this will be the only game from the franchise releasing in 2015.
To celebrate PlayStation’s 20th Anniversary, Sony has announced a limited edition PS4 console to mark the occasion. The PS4 Anniversary Edition will be limited to just 12,300 units worldwide, and will come in the same ‘Original Grey’ finish as the original PlayStation, packaged in a commemorative box and priced at €499.
Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars was first released on the PS3 in 2008, and now after 6 years and more than 2 million downloads, it’s long-awaited sequel, Rocket League is coming to the PS4 in Spring 2014. The sequel will feature improved graphics, a new season mode and lots of other improvements.
Ubisoft is compensating Assassin’s Creed: Unity season pass holders after the launch issues with the game. As compensation, Ubisoft is giving those that already own the season pass a free game, with one of six to choose from, including Far Cry 4 and The Crew. The season pass has also been withdrawn from sale to stop abuse of the compensation.
New content is available in Europe this week, with 10 new PS4 games, three new PS3 games and six new PS Vita games. New games include LittleBigPlanet 3, Geometry Wars 3, and Pocket RPG. You can also find lots of new add-on content for all three consoles as well as new PlayStation Mobile titles.
