Following on from the North America price cut, SCEE has announced that the PS4 is also getting a price cut in Europe. Effective from today, the 500GB PS4 will now be available for €349.99/£299.99 (RRP) across Europe and Australasia. It’s good news for those thinking about getting a PS4 for Christmas, and is sure to boost sales of the console.

PS4 System Software Ver. 3.10
Sony has released PS4 Firmware v3.10 this morning, adding support for verified PSN accounts and adding more stickers. It’s a minor update for the system software, and unfortunately it’s mandatory, so you will need to update your console before you can access the PlayStation Network.
US PlayStation Store Update for October 13th 2015
New content is available on the US PlayStation Store with a massive 13 new PS4 games, four new PS3 games and five new PS Vita games added. New games include the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode (PS4, PS3), Back to the Future: The Game (PS4) and Farming Simulator 16 (PS Vita).
EU PlayStation Store Update for October 13th 2015
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store this week, with 12 new PS4 games, two new PS3 games and one new PS Vita game. New games include Wasteland 2: Directors Cut, Back to the Future: The Game – 30th Anniversary Edition and the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode. You can also find new DLC content and a new Deal of the Week.
Universal Media Remote Announced for PS4, Available this Month
Sony has announced that the PS4 will finally be getting a Media Remote later this month in North America. The Universal Media Remote will let you turn on the system, navigate the UI, and control video content on apps like Netflix or on Blu-rays and DVDs more easily than using the DualShock 4 controller.
PlayStation Now Subscription Service Now Available in UK
After a successful beta test of PlayStation Now in the UK a few months back, the service is ready to move to the next step. The pricing has changed for games, and you are now able to get unlimited access to 100 PlayStation games for a low price of £12.99 per month.
PS4 Gets Price Cut in North America
In time for Christmas, Sony has announced a price cut in North America effective from tomorrow. In the US and Canada from October 9th 2015, you will now be able to pick up the PS4 at the new price of $349.99 USD / $429.99 CAD (MSRP) – a reduction of $50 in the US, and $20 in Canada. It’s unclear if the price of the PS4 will also be reduced in other territories.
EU PlayStation Store Update for October 6th 2015
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store this week, with 11 new PS4 games, one new PS3 game and six new PS Vita games. New games include Rock Band 4, Transformers: Devastation and the Star Wars Battlefront beta. PlayStation Plus subscribers can also find October’s Instant Game Collection, which includes six new games.
Rocket League Getting Free Halloween Content This Month
Psyonix has announced that it is releasing some free downloadable content for Rocket League, though it will be time-limited, and only available to unlock between October 18th until November 2nd 2015. The Halloween themed content includes items that can be used to customise your car, and can be earned from playing matches regardless if you win or lose the fixture. Once November 2nd passes the items will be locked out until next year.

A day late, but the EU PlayStation Store update is finally live on the PlayStation Store. This week you can find seven new PS4 games, three new PS3 games and one new PS Vita game, including Journey Collector’s Edition, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 and a playable demo of Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection.
