Sony has released a new minor firmware update for the PS4, updating the system software to v8.52. The update is a minor one, with the release notes indicating that the only change is improvements in “system performance”. The update doesn’t contain any new features, and is around 482 MB in size.

PS4 Firmware 8.50 has left the open beta phase and has been released to the public, marking the end of Communities on the console. The update is available to download now, and includes a number of privacy improvements and other features, including Share Play with PS5 owners.

PS4 Firmware v8.50 includes a number of bug fixes and improvements to the system, but also marks the end of Communities. The Communities feature was discontinued from the PlayStation App some time ago, and will soon be disabled on the PS4 too.

Sony has released a new minor firmware update for the PS4, updating the console to version v8.01. The update is available to download now and is around 477 MB in size. The update isn’t yet mandatory, so you can continue to access the PlayStation Network without this update.

PS4 Firmware v8.00 has come out of beta and is now available to download. This major firmware update makes a number of changes to the system software, including changes to Party and Messages, as well as changes to Communities and Events.

Sony has released a new minor firmware update for the PS4, updating the system software to version v7.55. The update isn’t mandatory for the moment so you’ll still be able to access the PlayStation Network.

Sony is prepping the next major firmware update for the PS4, with invites going out to owners. According to the changelog, Firmware 8.00 Beta will make further improvements to Party Chat and Messaging, Parental Controls and other smaller updates.
