Sony’s cloud gaming strategy was revealed at E3, which will game use of Gaikai’s streaming technology to give PS4, PS3 and PS Vita gamers access to library of PS3 games. However, it’s been clarified that only “critically acclaimed” games will be available via the service. The latest video from the PlayStation Access team also reveals that the service will later be expanded to include more legacy PlayStation titles.

Ratchet & Clank Nexus Announced for PS3

Sony and Insomniac Games have announced the next title in the Ratchet & Clank series, called Ratchet and Clank: Into The Nexus in North America and Ratchet & Clank Nexus in Europe. The game will coming to the PS3 later this year with an all new original single-player epilogue.
Sky’s Now TV Out of Beta, Available on PS3

Sky’s Now TV streaming service is finally out of beta and officially available on the PS3, giving gamers in the UK access to Sky Sports and Sky Movies channels. The service costs £15 a month, but comes with a 30-day free trial, a reduced three-month introductory price of £8.99 per month, and a free 90-day PlayStation Plus subscription.
PS3 Firmware v4.45 Available Now, Reports of PS3’s Breaking

Overnight, Sony released Firmware v4.45 for the PlayStation 3, containing mainly stability updates and a few improvements. However, there has been reports from users in the US that the new firmware is bricking PS3 consoles, affecting consoles with 500 GB and larger hard drives.
Mad Max Announced for PS4

Sony and Warner Brothers Interactive have announced Mad Max for the PS4, based on the films starring Mel Gibson. The game is being developed by Avalanche Studios for Warner Brothers Interactive, who were also behind the Just Cause games, and will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2014.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Coming to PS4, Plus E3 Trailer

Square Enix announced at Sony’s E3 Press Conference that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is coming to the PS4. But, Square Enix also revealed that gamers who purchase the PS3 version of the game will be able to transition their accounts to the PlayStation 4 version when it’s released in 2014.
E3 2013: Extended Metal Gear Solid V Trailer

Konami has released a extended nine-minute trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Segements of the trailer were shown off during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, and has been confirmed for release on the PS4 and Xbox One, in addition to the PS3 and Xbox 360.
E3 2013: Gaikai Streaming Coming to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita in 2014

At E3, Sony confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will be getting PS3 backwards compatibility using Gaikai’s streaming technology in 2014. Initially available in the US, Gaikai will provide PS3 and PS4 owners access to critically acclaimed PS3 games, streamed through cloud.
Free-to-play Version of Tekken Coming Exclusively to PS3

Tekken will be getting the free-to-play treatment this summer when Tekken Revolution hits the PS3. The game was revealed in GameSpot’s E3 preview (below) at 19:30 into the video (below). The game will be releasing on the PlayStation Store tomorrow, June 11th, 2013, and may be shown off at Sony’s E3 Press Conference tonight.
New Destiny Trailer Released: Law of the Jungle

Bungie have released a new trailer for their upcoming PS3 and PS4 title Destiny, titled “Law of the Jungle”. The new trailer is a CG/live action trailer that features three Guardians in action, and was created in collaboration with director Jon Favreau, actor Giancarlo Esposito, and visual effects house Digital Domain.
