The official box art and pre-order bonuses for PS4 launch title DriveClub have been revealed, with three different pre-order packs available depending on your local retailer. Each of the three packs has an exclusive livery design, instant access to a supercar and a “boost of fame to increase your driver level”.
This has to be one of the most expensive and bizarre pre-order bonuses we’ve ever come across: The Saint’s Row IV Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition. The pre-order pack, costing a hefty $1 million (or around £644,705), is extremely limited edition and the only one available in the world. But it does come with some very rare extras.
As mentioned last week, Sony’s pre-order limits for the PS4 are now in force across the UK and Europe, meaning console pre-ordered after August 6th 2013 are no longer guaranteed for launch day. The limit affects retailers mainly in the UK, including Amazon and ShopTo, so if you were smart enough to pre-order your console early, it will arrive for launch day.
Sony’s upcoming PS4 is in such demand that the company has imposed pre-order limits in the UK so eager fans are not disappointed when the console launches later this year. Speaking to CVG, retail sources have confirmed that orders should be placed “before next week” in order for them to be fulfilled on launch day, meaning an effective pre-order deadline of August 5th if you want your PS4 as soon as possible.
Sony and Guerilla Games have detailed the pre-order bonuses that will come with Killzone: Shadow Fall on the PS4. Pre-ordering the game at selected retailers will give gamers access to exclusive content, including exclusive skins for the OWL combat drone, special victory move and the game’s official soundtrack.
If you haven’t pre-ordered a PS4 yet, chances are that you have some trouble getting your hands on a launch day unit. Several retailers are starting to report that their pre-order allocations of the PS4 have run out. This week alone, US retailers Amazon.com and GameStop have both stopped pre-orders on launch day units after fulfilling their allocations.
Sony has revealed the Anniversary Edition of Gran Turismo 6, which will be releasing in Winter 2013 alongside the Standard Edition of the game. Amazon is reporting record-breaking number of pre-orders for upcoming next-generation consoles since E3 2013, with a 4,000 percent increase compares to last year. At it’s peak, Amazon reported that pre-orders for the PS4 and Xbox One exceed 2,500 unites per minute.
The E3 2013 trailer for Puppeteer has been revealed, along with information on the pre-order bonuses. If you are thinking about pre-ordering the game, the Theatrical Pack may take your fancy, and is available from participating retailers. The pack will come with some special DLC goodies including the original soundtrack and PSN avatars.
Rockstar has announced to special edition packs for Gran Theft Auto V: The Grand Theft Auto V Collector’s Edition and Grand Theft Auto V Special Edition. Both editions are now available for pre-order world wide, while stocks last. The Grand Theft Auto V Collector’s Edition will retail for $149.99, while the Grand Theft Auto V Special Edition will retail for $79.99. Both editions include special in-game bonuses, and pluysical GTA goodies.
