Second PS4 Controller Image Reveals Headphone Jack
A second image of the rumoured PS4 controller has leaked, giving credibility to the first image leak. The new image shows the new controller at a different perspective, and reveals a headphone jack on the underside of the controller. The image also shows the controller is slightly larger than the current DualShock design and indeed has two buttons on either side of the touch pad.
Rumor Alert: PS4 Controller Leaked
A leaked image of the PS4 controller has been floating around since yesterday, probably from a PS3 Dev Kit, showing an early proto-type of the new controller expected to replace the DualShock. The new controller suggests Sony will be incorporating PlayStation Move and a touch pad right inside the controller. The new controller also reveals a redesigned D-pad and analogue sticks.
The Latest PS4 Rumours Suggest 4 GB RAM and October 2013 Launch
The rumor mill is staring to go into overdrive this month as both the next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles are likely to be revealed sometime this year. A number of sources are claiming to have details on the consoles, specifically what they will have under the hood.

Over the weekend, it’s been confirmed that the PS3 has ended production worldwide. The very last PS2 console has come of the production line, marking an end to the best selling console of all time. This news suggests that Sony is making room for manufacturing the next PlayStation console, rumoured to make an appearance later this year.
Sony Stops Japanese Shipments of the PlayStation 2
Sony has stopped shipping the PlayStation 2 in Japan according to Famitsu. The console, which was launched back in 2000, has sold over 154 million units worldwide, and still remains the primary PlayStation console in certain territories. Its uncertain if Sony will stop shipments to other countries too, but with the rumoured PS4 reveal on the horizon, it’s likely to happen soon.
PS4 Rumours Round-up
The latest issue of PSM3 magazine has a number of PlayStation 4 rumours, as reported by GameFront.de. According to the magazine, the console won’t be called the ‘PS4’ or ‘PlayStation 4’ as the number 4 is considered unlucky in Japan and has an alternative pronunciation related to death.
Sony Shipping PS4 Dev Kits to Developers
If rumours from last night are true, Sony have begun shipping PlayStation 4 / Orbis development kits to development studios in North America. According to VG24/7, the Dev Kit is essentially a modified PC using components close to what the final PS4 will actually contain. A updated Dev Kit with near-final specs will ship in January.
WipEout for PS4 Still Alive
Despite Sony closing down Liverpoool Studio a few weeks ago, we’re happy to reveal that WipEout for the PlayStation 4 is still alive. Yesterday, the official WipEout 2048 Twitter feed tweeted ‘WE. ARE. ALIVE’ and the picture below. The game was previously thought to have been cancelled after the studio was disbanded.
