Invites for the closed beta are now being sent out to lucky PS4 owners, with a PSN code to download the beta client. Once the client has been downloaded, you’ll be able to rent over 50 PlayStation Now titles for free.

Sony Purchases OnLive Assets as Company Closes
OnLive, the California-based provider of cloud gaming, has announced that it’s service will be closing this month. As a result, Sony has been able to strengthen it’s own cloud gaming service by purchasing OnLive’s patent portfolio, making it the company’s second cloud-gaming acquisition since Gaikai in 2012.
PlayStation Now Closed Beta Launching In UK Soon
Sony has finally officially announced that the PlayStation Now closed beta will be launching in the UK soon. We’ve already obtained access to the beta and are impressed by how well it works, and soon PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to get their hands on it.
Watch: inFamous 2 with PlayStation Now European Beta
We’ve recorded a new video showing inFamous 2 running on the European beta of PlayStation Now. We follow the same process as our Uncharted 3 video, renting the game for a period of 30-days and playing the first few minutes of the game. This time we’ve included over 12 minutes of footage, with a mix of gameplay and cutscenes.

Following our recent discovery about PlayStation Now in Europe, we’ve recorded a video showing the beta in action. We go thorough the process of renting Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for 30-day (for free) and proceed to playing the the first few minutes of the game – all within 8 minutes.
PlayStation Now Beta Currently Running in Europe
It looks like the PlayStation Now beta is already underway in Europe, as I’ve discovered today. I was able to access the PlayStation Now beta app, and found sixteen games available to rent – all available for free. Based in the UK, I was able to access a number of games including BEYOND: Two Souls, Uncharted 3 and inFamous 2.
Five Games Join PlayStation Now Service Today
Sony will be adding five new games to the PlayStation Now service in North America today, as part of this month’s update. Among the new titles you’ll find Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and God Of War II HD, which join the hundreds of titles already available.
PlayStation Now Gets Subscription Plan with 100 PS3 Games Next Week
PlayStation Now is getting a subscription model starting January 13th 2015, giving you instant and unlimited access to 100 PS3 games. The service will offer two subscription plans: one month for $19.99, or a three-month package for $44.99.
PlayStation Now Open Beta Live in North America
As announced at E3 2014 in June, the PlayStation Now open beta is now available in North America, open to all PS4 owners in both the US and Canada. As part of this Open Beta, PS4 users will see PS Now titles fully integrated into PlayStation Store, available to be streamed for various rental durations, including 7-days, 30-days or 90-days.
UK Will Be One of the First European Territories to get PlayStation Now
SCEE’s UK managing director Fergal Gara has revealed to Digital Spy that the UK will be amongst the first countries in Europe to get their hands on PlayStation Now. The game streaming service will be going into Open Beta in North America in late July, but a European beta has not yet been announced.
