PlayStation Home Gets Trophy Treatment This Week
It’s been over five years since PlayStation Home first came about, it only now is the social network getting Trophies. Chris Owen, Community Manager at PlayStation Europe, has revealed that patch v1.86, releasing this week, will add trophies to the game.
Sony Shutting Down PlayStation Home in Asian Territories
If you’re a fan of PlayStation Home, don’t expect it to carry over to the PS4, as Sony are shutting down the service in Asian territories including Japan. The move could be a precursor to a worldwide shutdown. A press release from Sony states that there will be no new content for the service in Japan after September 2013, with other Asian territories following suit in March 2014.
PlayStation Home Gets v1.7 Update
PlayStation Home will briefly be offline from 8.00am BST this morning for routine maintenance. The PS Home client will also be updated to version v1.7, bring with it some improvements and new features (detailed below). Once the maintenance window is complete, booting up Home will prompt you to download the updated client.
PlayStation Home Gets First Free-to-Play RPG Tomorrow
Tomorrow, August 30th, PlayStation Home opens its doors to its first RPG, Mercia: Fractured Realms, which will be free to play. Players can choose between three character classes, and customise their armour, weapons, and spells to suit their style.
Blueprint: Home Lets You Create Personal Spaces From Scratch in PlayStation Home
If you were frustrated by the fact that you couldn’t design you on Space in PlayStation Home, then you will be happy to hear about Blueprint: Home from nDreams. Previously, you were only able to furnish pre-build spaces in home, but soon, you will be able to design your very own Space from scratch.
More DUST 514 Beta Codes Available in PlayStation Home
Get yourself in PlayStation Home to get a beta code for Dust 514. Head over to The Event Horizon Lounge and follow the instructions here. It is found directly on the Navigator (once in Home, hit Start > Navigator > New and Recommended > The Event Horizon Lounge) and talk to the bartender for instructions.
Visit the E3 2012 Virtual Booth in PlayStation Home
If you weren’t lucky enough to visit E3 this year, you can still check out the virtual experience in PlayStation Home. The virtual E3 experience is only available on the PS3, and it will only be accessible for a limited time. The E3 Home Space features all the games featured in Sony’s Press Conference, including God of War: Ascension, Assassin’s Creed III, PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, LittleBigPlanet Karting and more.
