After months of silence, details have emerged of a new patch for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which will rebalance some of the game’s mechanics. Sony’s Santa Monica Studio has released notes on what the patch will contain, but didn’t mention a release date.

Sony Santa Monica: No More DLC for All-Stars Battle Royale
Sony’s Santa Monica studios are done with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and has revealed that the game won’t be getting any more DLC content. On the brighter side, the studio will continue to release patches for the game (expected in Autumn), and release some previously unreleased costume packs later this month.
New PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale DLC Coming March 2013
New DLC has been announced for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, featuring two new characters and a brand new stage to enjoy. SCEA Santa Monica Studios have been working hard to bring Isaac Clarke from Electronic Arts’ Dead Space, and Zeus from God of War to the game as two additional playable characters in the game, and a new “Graveyard” level.
Superbot to Reveal More All-Stars Battle Royale DLC in March
Despite Sony and Superbot Entertainment parting ways, the developer is still working on DLC. The developer has confirmed that “development and support on All-Stars is nearly wrapped” but the next batch of DLC won’t see its release for “several more weeks,” after which Sony’s Santa Monica Studio will take over development.

In preparation for the first batch of DLC, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has received a massive patch for both the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game. The patch adds support for the new characters, stages and minions that can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store.
Sony Ends Relationship with All-Stars Battle Royale Developer
Sony have closed all connections with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale developers SuperBot Entertainment, it has been confirmed. The game failed at retail, despite receiving mainly positive reviews. It’s unclear how the game did on the PlayStation Store, however.
All-Stars Battle Royale Getting New Stages
New information and screenshots have appeared for upcoming free DLC for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which will add Kat (from Gravity Rush) and Emmett (from Starhawk) to the roster. The new screehshots reveal a new stage, which is a mashup of Heavenly Sword and WipEout.

Just a week after PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale entered the UK Games Chart at position 38, the title has completely dropped out of the charts. Even worst, the title sold less than PS Vita title Call Of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, which has received very poor reviews compared to All-Stars Battle Royale.
PlayStation All-Stars Debuts in UK Charts at No. 38
After endless promotions, trailers and advertising by Sony, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has failed to make a dent in the UK charts. The title entered the chart at position 38 after the first week of sales, way behind titles like Hitman Absolution, Assassin’s Creed III and LEGO Lord of the Rings. In fact, LEGO Lord of the Rings was the highest ranking new title at position 6.
PSN Download Sizes for All-Stars Battle Royale Revealed
If you are planning to download the digital versions of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, you’ll be happy to know that the download sizes of each of the versions have been revealed ahead of the game’s release. The PS3 version of the game will take up close to 6 GB of space on your hard drive, while the PS Vita version is less than a third of that.
