The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be getting patched this week with a number of bug fixes and enhancements to the game. The changes with were announced as part of the PC update last month will be available to download on May 11th for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Since the release of Firmware 3.30, Dragon Age: Origins has been experiencing freezing issues and crashes. BioWare is aware of the issues and is currently working on a patch to fix the problems. The patch is currently in testing to ensure the issues are indeed fixed. It may still take a few weeks before the patch is publicly released.
NIS America has confirmed that the European version of Disgaea 3 is finally getting a trophy patch. In addition, NIS America has also revealed that the patch will be retroactive so some trophies will automatically unlocked, providing the requirements are met, once the patch is installed. If you are lucky, you may not have to play through the game again.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has received a new update today, patching the game to version v1.07. The update includes some bug fixes and tweaks to the game, but nothing new is added to the title. You can find more information about what has been changed below.
Over the last few weeks, the MAG team have been prepping some behind-the-scenes updates in an effort to maximize your shooting experience in the 256-player shooter. As a result, MAG will soon be patched to version v1.05. The patch will be available starting Monday, April 19 at 1am Pacific/ 4am Eastern/ 9am GMT. Full details on the changes can be found below.
God of War III has received a software update, bringing the game to version v1.01. Up on booting up the game, you will be prompted to install a small 5MB update, and mainly addresses a issue with the wireless controller. A few glitches and a trophy hack have been discovered in the title since it was launched on March 16th 2010, so presumably the patch also addresses these.
Fat Princess has been updated to version v1.05 and now includes two new free snow-themed maps called Frost Bite and Candy Mountain. The game has so far received four free maps to date, making the game incredible value for money. The patch brings with it a number of fixes to the title too – see below for the changelog.
Sony added Facebook functionality to the PS3 in Firmware 3.10, allowing you to publish trophy information and PlayStation Store purchases on your profile. Soon, Buzz! Quiz World will be patched to include in-game publishing – the first PS3 title to do so. The game will be patched on March 22nd and will work with the existing Facebook settings on your PS3.
MAG was recently patched to version v1.04, fixing a number of issues and server enhancements. The patch weighs in just under 40MB and contains a total of seven fixes for the game. Fixes include tuning of the sniper rifles to be less effective out of scope-mode, anti-cheat improvements on the server and fixes for collisions. Check out the complete list of fixes below.
Quantic Dreams has finally addressed the issues experienced by some gamers in Heavy Rain by releasing a new patch today. The patch weighs in at 38MB and fixes the issues reported by users including the accidental nudity (did they really have to fix that one?), game crashes and audio glitches. Booting up your copy of Heavy Rain will prompt you to download the v1.02 patch.
