New PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games are available on the US PlayStation Store this week, including NBA Live 14 (PS4), Need for Speed Rivals (PS3), Contrast (PS3) and more. You can also find new DLC for all three consoles, and now PlayStation Plus content. Binary Domain (PS3) and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath (PS Vita) have been added to the Instant Game Collection.
Sony’s PS4 launch has largely gone off without a hitch, selling over one million units in the first 24 hours. A very impressive milestone considering the console is only currently available in North America. The 1 million units is actually the number of consoles in the hands of customers, and not the number of units shipped.
The PS4 is now available to buy in North America, while us Europeans have to wait until November 29th to get our hands on Sony’s next-gen console. Following the North American release, Sony has released a new 9-minute long video showing the PS4’s User Interface with Eric Lempel giving commentary.
Sony America has revealed the exciting new features for the Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited services on the PS4, boasting redesigned interfaces, quicker navigation and access to lots of content. The Video Unlimited service will have over 200,000 movies and TV shows to enjoy, all of which will be stored and streamed from the cloud to elimitate hard drive clutter.
Lots of new PS4 games are available on the North American PlayStation Store this week, including XCOM: Enemy Within, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus and Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition. A handful of new PS Vita content is available too, and Flower is available on the PS4, and is cross-buy compatible with the PS3 and Vita versions.
Digital Extremes have released a PS4 launch teaser trailer for upcoming title Warframe, which will be available to play later this week when the PS4 launches in North America. The free-to-play title allows PS4 gamers to take part in a war set in our solar system involving four factions: Tenno, Grineer, Corpus and Infested.
The PS4 launches in North America later this week, and to celebrate, Sony has released an official PS4 unboxing video with a bit of a twist. As previously announced, launch day consoles will include special vouchers giving gamers access $10 of PSN Credit, 30 days of PlayStation Plus and a 30 day trial of Music Unlimited.
SCEA have released the charts for the top selling titles on the PlayStation Network for North America, revealing Grand Theft Auto V as the top titles on the PS3, followed by Battlefield 4. On the PS Vita, the The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season was the top selling title, followed by Killzone: Mercenary.
Sony has revealed the gamers who pick up the PS4 on launch day will be getting some special promotional voucher in the box. The console launches at midnight on November 15th, and in the box you’ll find vouchers to try out Sony’s wide range of entertainment services, including PlayStation Plus and Music Unlimited.
The PS4 launch is set to be one of the biggest launches in PlayStation History, especially if these photos are anything to go by. Photos are being released from retails stores and warehouses in North America showing just how many units are being prepared for the November 15th launch.
