Top PSN Sellers for December 2013 in North America
Following suit after SCEE, SCEA has released it’s own PlayStation Store charts for December 2013, revealing the top selling PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games. On the PS4, Call of Duty: Ghosts was the top selling game with the PS3 digital upgrades program, but Battlefield 4 came out on top overall, not including digital upgrades. As for the PS3, new release Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition was the top selling title.
US PlayStation Store Update for January 7th 2014
New content is now available on the North American PlayStation Store, including Don’t Starve (PS4), Tiny Brains (PS3, cross-buy), and Furmins + Bonus World (PS Vita). Don’t Starve has also been added to the Instant Game Collection if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, along with DmC (PS3).
PlayStation Now Streaming Service Coming to US This Summer
At CES 2014 in Las Vegas today, Sony announced a new service called PlayStation Now (PS Now). PS Now will lets gamers stream popular hits and classic games from the PS3 library, first on PS4 and PS3 systems, followed by PS Vita using Gaikai technology. In addition to PlayStation platforms, most 2014 US models of Sony’s BRAVIA TV lineup will support PS Now.
Six New Games Coming to PlayStation Plus in January 2014 in North America
Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus line-up for January 2014, confirming the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games that will be added to the Instant Game Collection. Six new games will be coming to the Instant Game Collection, including one PS4 title, three PS3 titles and two PS Vita titles. Don’t Starve will be the new PS4 game, while new PS3 games include DmC and BioShock Infinite.
US PlayStation Store Update for December 25th 2013
The US PlayStation Store has received a moderately small update this week, with just a handful of new games and DLC content. Zen Pinball 2 is now available to download for the PS4 and Sonic All-stars Racing Transformed has been added to the Instant Game Collection. You can also find new DLC for games including GTA V (PS3), The Playroom (PS4) and The Walking Dead Season Two.
US PlayStation Store Update for December 17th 2013
Lots of new content has been added to the North American PlayStation Store this week, including two new PS4 games, five new PS3 games, and seven new PS Vita titles. New games include cross-buy title flOw (PS Vita, PS4), the first episode in Season 2 of The Walking Dead series (PS3) and Minecraft (PS3). There is also plenty of new DLC content, holiday discounts and other content to find on the store.
Tiny Brains Launching on PS4 in December
Spearhead Games has announced that their upcoming PS4 co-op puzzler Tiny Brains will be releasing in North America and Europe in December. Tiny Brains is a quirky, social, cooperative, action puzzler, which follows four tiny lab animals – a rabbit, a mouse, a hamster, and a bat – each of whom has been so extensively experimented on as to develop cool psychic abilities.

New PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games are available on the US PlayStation Store this week, including NBA Live 14 (PS4), Need for Speed Rivals (PS3), Contrast (PS3) and more. You can also find new DLC for all three consoles, and now PlayStation Plus content. Binary Domain (PS3) and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath (PS Vita) have been added to the Instant Game Collection.
Sony Sells Over 1 Million PS4s in 24 Hours of Launch
Sony’s PS4 launch has largely gone off without a hitch, selling over one million units in the first 24 hours. A very impressive milestone considering the console is only currently available in North America. The 1 million units is actually the number of consoles in the hands of customers, and not the number of units shipped.
