Tomorrow, PlayStation Home gets a massive update, including three new spaces and a bevy of brand new items. First up, we have a brand new SCEE event coming to you tomorrow themed around the awesome retro PSN shooter Gravity Crash, aptly titled: Gravity Crash: Maze to the Mothership! Also, the first wave of LittleBigPlanet content hits Home with a set of new clothes and branded furniture.

Pirated of the Caribbean Coming to LittleBigPlanet
The long awaited Pirates of the Caribbean DLC for LittleBigPlanet will be available on to download from December 22nd on the PlayStation Store. There are two different packs available, a premium Costume Pack and massive Level Kit. In the Pirates of the Caribbean Costume pack, you can dress up your Sackboy as one of the many characters in the movie including, Sack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Barbossa, Davy Jones and Tia Dalma.
LittleBigPlanet Patch v1.21 Out Monday
On Nov 30th, LittleBigPlanet will get it’s biggest game update so far, and it will be for free. The patch is packed full of great new functionality and improvements. Update 1.21, also known as Leerdammer, contains new features such as Online Create, increased profile space, improved networking, and better saving functionality. A lot of improvements will be made to the game – see all the details are below.
Sonic Costumes Coming to LittleBigPlanet
Sega and Sony are working together to bring Sonic into the PlayStation 3 version of LittleBigPlanet. In December, five Sonic the Hedgehog costumes will be available to download via the PlayStation Store. You can get Sonic, Sonic the Werehog, Tails, Dr. Eggman, and Knuckles as individual costumes or together in one pack.
PSP to Get Trophies?
Sony has been thinking about adding Trophy support to the PSP for some time now, but they are trying to tackle some technical difficulties – the biggest of which is the piracy issue. According to President of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, “It’s under discussion, but there are some technical challenges.” Recently though, rumors have begun once again. The LittleBigPlanet PSP box clearly shows “Trophies” as one of the features of the game.
LittleBigPlanet Updated to v1.20
A new patch for LittleBigPlanet is now available to download. Dubbed “Celtic Promise“, the patch is 23mb in size and adds support for upcoming downloadable content. No other details about the patch were revealed, except that the next patch v1.21, named “Leerdammer“, will add new features to the title.
Sackboy Invades PSP Next Month
Sackboy invades the PSP in North America when the game is released on November 17th 2009. The official release date was announced by MediaMolecule, however, no date for Europe was announced. Europeans can expect the game some time this year but it may be weeks after the North American release. LittleBigPlanet for the PSP features a bigger single-player component, though it lacks multiplayer gameplay.
LittleBigPlanet Watchmen Costume Kit Coming This Thursday
Watchmen fans get ready! This Thursday MediaMolecule is adding four Watchmen costumes to the PlayStation Store for LittleBigPlanet. The costume pack will let you dress up as one of four Watchmen characters: The Nite Owl II, Ozymandias, Rorschach, and The Silk Spectre II. Unfortunately, there is no Dr. Manhattan, but you can always remove all the clothes of Sackboy and use the blue material…
TGS 09: Sony Demos Motion Controller In LittleBigPlanet
Earlier this week, we reported that LittleBigPlanet will be getting motion controller support via a patch when the motion controller is available next year. During the TGS presentation, Sony showed off exactly how the motion controller will be used and we have included the video for you below. The four minute demo shows two players playing the game; one using the DualShock 3 controller to mode Sackboy around and the other using the motion controller to move objects around.
