GTA Online Has Made $66 Million Through Micro-Transactions
Grand Theft Auto Online has been a massive success for Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive, as the latest financial reports reveal that the game made up almost half of the Take-Two’s digital revenue for the last fiscal quarter, which ended on December 31st 2014.
Rockstar Take Measures to Stop GTA Online Cheaters
The GTA Online maintenance period that took place yesterday by Rockstar was to address cheaters in the game, it has been revealed. The maintenance period was used to remove counterfeit GTA$ from the game’s economy, which was created by a small number of players through an exploit. Those responsible for using the exploit will face tough action, according to Rockstar.
GTA Online Offline Over The Next 24 Hours
Rockstar has revealed that GTA Online will be online from early this morning for an unspecified amount of time. The maintenance period starts at 2 AM GMT (9 PM Eastern Tine) and will finish at some point on Thursday, but an exact time wasn’t revealed. The nature of the maintenance period wasn’t disclosed, but could relate to new features or improved reliability.
GTA Online Gets Free “Beach Bum” DLC Next Week
Rockstar have announced Grand Theft Auto Online’s first DLC pack will be released next Tuesday, November 19th, called “Beach Bum”. The DLC pack will be free to download and includes new Beach-themed races, deathmatches, parachutes, last team standings, survivals and gang attacks. New vehicles, clothing and weapons are also included in the content, which will come part of the v1.06 patch.
GTA V Patch v1.05 Available Now
A new patch for Grand Theft Auto V has been released, updating the game to v1.05. The patch should address the final batch of GTA Online issues which people were experiencing, including vanishing cars and lost progress. These issues should never have made it into the final game, but hopefully we won’t see them again with the new patch.

The online component to Grand Theft Auto 5 launches today, and with it comes new details from Rockstar Games. Rockstar have revealed a whole host of new details for the free multiplayer expansion, GTA Online. A free patch is available to enable the GTA Online, and you should be able to directly access the Online world from GTA V’s main menu.
Rockstar Reveals New GTA Online Details
The online component to GTA V – known as GTA Online – launches next week, on October 1st, and Rockstar are working hard to make sure they have enough servers up and running to handle the significant number of gamers playing the game. Rockstar has revealed that, in addition to all the open-world activities, there will also be dedicated missions and races to enjoy.
Rockstar Launches Grand Theft Auto Online Social Network
Rockstar Games has revealed their own social network, called Lifeinvader, which will tie into the upcoming online part of Grand Theft Auto V, which launches in October. The site ties in with your Rockstar Social Club and gives you a profile for your Grand Theft Auto Online character and allow you to connect with other players.
GTA V’s Social Features Include Crew Hierarchies
Rockstar have revealed the first of GTA V’s Social Club features for the online component of the game: Crew Hierarchies; which allows Crew Leaders to manage crew members and assign special ranks to players. The feature is already available online, ahead of GTA Online’s launch in October. By default, all players are classed as ‘muscle’ until reassigned.
