Gran Turismo for the PSP launches this Thursday, after years of waiting. Stephanie Toshimoto, over on the PlayStation.Blog, has posted the TV ad campaign for everyone to view (see below). The advert centers around the Corvette ZR1 vs. PSP racing against each other on Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. New Special Edition Gran Turismo PSP Packs
The new PSP and Gran Turismo are out in less than a month. Sony has revealed two special versions of Gran Turismo for hard-core fans: the Gran Turismo PSP Collector’s Edition and the Gran Turismo Edition PlayStation Portable console, both of which will launch on 1st October alongside the standard edition. The Collector’s Edition game features an extra vehicle that hopefully needs no introduction to the petrol heads amongst you – the 2009 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 in black.

Rumor Alert: Gran Turismo 5 Beta Inbound?
An image has surfaced on the internet indicating that a Gran Turismo 5 beta is coming soon, and could already be in the private beta stage. The image clearly shows a PS3 download screen for the highly anticipated Gran Turismo 5. A beta for the game, due to release this winter, hasn’t been officially mentioned or announced yet. However, it’d be no surprise that a game on this scale would need some sort of beta testing phase to make sure that the online mode was up-to-scratch.
Get GT PSP For Free When You Register Your PSPgo
Have you pre-ordered your PSP Go! yet? Sony has announced that gamers who register their PSP Go! during the launch week will each receive a free digital copy of Gran Turismo for PSP. Andrew House (CEO of SCEE) announced at GamesCom that registering your PSP Go! between the 1st and 10th of October will get you a free downloadable copy of the game.

Gran Turismo PSP – Your Questions Answered
Gran Turismo for the PSP will be launching later this year as a launch title along side the new PSP Go. Over on the PlayStation.Blog, Penrose Tackie, Gran Turismo European Brand Manager, has kindly posted some questions regarding the new game. E3 2009: PSP Go! Launching in October 2009
At Sony’s E3 Press Conference today Jack Tretton officially announced the PSP Go! (even though the details were leaked over the weekend). Tretton cleared up some specifics about the new model including a price and release date as well as hardware clarifications. The PSP Go! will launch in Europe and the US on October 1st 2009, along side several new PSP titles including Gran Turismo. The model will retail for $249.99 (approx £150).
