Playing online in GT5 is all good until someone brings a super-charged car to the race and smokes everyone in the race. To address the issue Polyphony Digital will be releasing a new patch this weekend to restrict things like max power and weight. As a result, the races will be evenly matched giving everyone a equal chance to win.

Gran Turismo 5 Patch v1.01 Available to Download
Ahead of the official release date for Gran Turismo 5, a patch for the title has been released. The game isn’t officially out until tomorrow, but the patch enables the online portion of the game and adds lots of new features mainly revolving around the internet community.
Gran Turismo 5 Collector’s Edition Unboxed
Your copy of GT5 should be on its way to you if you’ve pre-ordered it (you might already have it sitting at home). If you ordered the US Collector’s Edition of the game, check out the video below to see what to expect. The US version of the Collector’s Edition is far superior to that found in Europe.
GT5 6.4GB Install Is Optional
Building on our story from last week about GT5 taking up 6.4GB of hard disk space, we have learned that the option is actually optional and not a requirement to play the actual game. According to Sony, however, even if you choose not to install any data at the beginning of the game there’s a built-in auto-install feature that does it in incremental chunks.
Gran Turismo 5 May Take Up Over 6GB Of Space
We’ve just confirmation that over copy of GT5 has shipped so we should be playing it early next week, hopefully a few days before worldwide release. If you are expecting your own copy next, be warned: the game could take 40-50 minutes to install on the PS3.
Gran Turismo 5 Release Date Confirmed (Again)
In a press release from SCEE today, Sony has confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 will be available to purchase on Wednesday, 24th November 2010 in the UK. The title suffered several delays this year, with the last launch date being pushed back from November 5th 2010.
Gran Turismo 5 Course List Revealed
With the launch of Gran Turismo 5 presumably only weeks away, someone has leaked the track list for the game, which is split into Original (designed by Polyphony), World (based on real courses), City (inspired by real world city tracks) and Snow and Dirt (the drifting tracks). You can see the list below, which combined with reverse and rain affected versions amounts to a huge list.
Gran Turismo 5 Delayed Again
SCEA has just confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 will not make the previously announced release date of November 2nd 2010. However, Sony is expecting the game to be released sometime this year over the Holiday season. The reason for another delay was not detailed, except that development team want to make sure the game delivers the perfect racing experience.
Gran Turismo 5 Has Two HDD Install Options
With Gran Turismo 5 just over two months away from release, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi has recently made public the install details for the game. Yamauchi revealed on Twitter that a mere 256MB is the minimum hard drive space needed to run the game.
Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition Announced
If you are one of those gamers who love Collector Editions of games, then Gran Turismo 5 has an edition you won’t want to miss out on. The Signature Edition of the game costs a €179.99 but comes packed with lots of content including a Metal sculpted box and a GT branded SLS AMG model car. If you are looking for something cheaper, you can also get the Collectors Edition for €79.99.
