Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that a minor Gran Turismo 5 update will be going live this week, bringing the game up to version v2.05. The update includes various bug fixes and improves the stability of online play.

New Gran Turismo 5 DLC And Update Incoming
A new DLC pack is making it’s way to Gran Turismo 5 very soon – 18th January to be exact. This new pack has two components, the first of which features brand new cars, and will be priced at €5.99/£4.79. The second component of the new content is the Speed Test Pack, which will be priced at €3.99/£3.19. In addition to the new DLC, Functionality Update v2.03 will also be released.
New Gran Turismo 5 DLC and Patch Coming Next Week
Some new content is coming to Gran Turismo 5 next week, including the second round of DLC. Next week you’ll be able to download Car Pack 2 for $3.99 and add some fantastic new rides to your garage. Car Pack 2 includes the 2011 Mini Cooper S, 2010 Volkswagen Golf VI R, 2010 Volkswagen Scirocco R, and the new and improved 2012 Nissan GT-R Black edition R35.
Gran Turismo 5 DLC Packs Confirmed
The GT5 v2.0 update was released this week, and now the upcoming DLC packs have been confirmed. Update 2.0 is a fairly major enhancement for GT5 with some great new features and free content, as well as some popular improvements and fixes. Now for the DLC packs – GT5 will be getting four DLC packs arriving on the PlayStation Store on 18th October.

Gran Turismo 5 is getting a massive update to the game. Yamauchi-san and the Polyphony team have been closely monitoring the feedback of the dedicated and discerning GT5 community. As a result of this, we have seen significant support for GT5 in the form of regular functionality updates.
GT5 Update v1.10
Gran Turismo 5 has received a patch now that the PSN is back up and running. Kazunori Yamauchi made it clear at launch back in November that the game would continue to develop and be updated during its life cycle. This latest update from Polyphony comes in the form of version 1.10 and includes many improvements and new features to welcome players back to online racing via PSN.

A new update for Gran Turismo 5 is now available to download. The patch adds several new features and improvements to the game (detailed below), including better rewards in GT Mode for a limited time only, and earning experience when playing online.
Gran Turismo Sales Exceed 60 Million Units
As of 6 December, more than 5.5 million units of Gran Turismo 5 have been sold worldwide. This remarkable figure has pushed the series past the 60 million units mark since the series first launched on the PlayStation around 12 years and 11 months ago, back in December 1997.
Gran Turismo 5 Patched to v1.03
Gran Turismo 5 has received yet another patch, this time weighing in at nearly 150MB. The new patch required the latest PS3 Firmware update v3.55, which was released earlier today. Early reports suggest that this particular update added a setting for mechanical damage in online games, from “none”, “light” and “heavy”.
