The “Maxed Out” trophy in God of War III can only be obtained after completely upgrading all your weapons (or so you would think). A forum user at PS3Trophies.org has discovered an alternative method to acquiring the trophy (see below). The glitch appears in Combat Arena, which will be unlocked once you beat the story and Challenge of Olympus mode.

God of War III Tops UK Charts
God of War III has pushed Final Fantasy XIII from the number one spot in the UK all-format charts this week after the title suffered a 80% drop in sales, according to the latest GfK Charts. Final Fantasy XIII has dropped to third place but still holds the record for the fastest selling game in 2010, while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 retains second position. Kratos’ latest adventure outsold God of War II’s launch by a ratio of 2.65 to 1.

The God of War III soundtrack, Blood & Metal, was supposed to be exclusive to the Ultimate Edition of the game, but it actually available to download for free from the God of War website (be quick, download links below). In addition, the complete God of War Trilogy soundtrack can also be downloaded for free. Is this a bug on the website or a reward for dedicated God of War fans?
God of War III Demo vs. Gold Release

God of War III Sex Mini-Game Almost Scrapped
God of War III director Stig Asmussen revealed that the sex mini-game featured in the first two God of War games where Kratos was able to go through a series of quick time events in order to complete a sex sequence with two topless beauties was almost scrapped in the third game.
God of War III Demo Now Available
In case you missed it, the God of War III demo is available to download from the PlayStation Store. The demo is definitely worth a play (if not two) and we certainly can’t wait to get our hands on the full game next month. And for those of you who haven’t yet seen it, we have the latest trailer for you below, where you’ll be able to see Kratos inflicting total chaos and destruction.
God of War III Trophies
God of War III has a total of 36 trophies to collect, including the coveted Platinum trophy. The game has 18 hidden trophies of which most are story-related – 10 of the secret trophies are bronze, six are silver and one is the platinum trophy. The visible list of trophies in the game can be found below, of which 10 are bronze, 4 silver and four gold.
God of War III Has No Loading Screens
Not only does God of War III have no hard drive installation, a tweet from Christer Ericson, the Director of Technology at Sony Santa Monica Studio, also states that the game has “seamless loading” and over 10 hours of “play uninterrupted by load screens.” This is an amazing feat considering that all the data will be loaded from the disc, which will contain over 35GB of game data.
No HD Install Required for God of War III
God of War III, due out next month, is one of few games this year that will not require installing game data to the hard drive. The announcement was made by Christoper Ericson, Santa Monica Director of Technology, over twitter stating “God of War III does NOT do a HD install. The 5MB listed on box back is for save game only.”
