Sony has filed trademarks for two new titles ahead of it’s Gamescom Press Conference next week in Cologne, Germany. A trademark for a video game called “Rain” was filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on 30th July 2012.

Reef Entertainment has announced that he first “playable” appearance of Rambo: The Videogame will be revealed at Gamescom next month. According to the commercial director, their newest game will allow players to “really get under the skin of Rambo and wield his iconic weapon-set in battle.”
Sony Attending Gamescom, But Microsoft and Nintendo Absent
Gamecom is the next biggest game’s expo after E3, so it’s strange that Microsoft and Nintendo have declined to attend this year. However, Sony and most games publishers will be attending as usual, according to Joystiq. The expo attracted over over 275,000 attendees last year, so it’s a big opportunity for console makers to show off upcoming games.
