Sony has announced that the next major system update for the PS4 is in the works, and like the last couple of updates, it’s looking for PS4 owners to help beta test the changes ahead of launch. Starting today, you can sign-up to become a beta tester here.
Sony has detailed the features that are coming to the PS4 in upcoming firmware update v5.00, codenamed NOBUNAGA. The firmware update improves many features on the console, such as parental control, friends list management and notifications, and introduces Family Accounts. Invites to join the beta have already started going out.
Sony has begun sending out invites to join the PS4 Firmware 5.00 beta today. If you’re lucky enough to be chosen, you’ll receive an email (like the below) with instructions on where to get your PSN Code to activate the beta. Sony is also giving out two extra codes, which you can share with friends.
