Final Fantasy VII was made available on the US PlayStation Store earlier this week after Sony’s E3 Press Conference. PAL gamers will be glad to hear that Final Fantasy VII will be made available on the European PlayStation Store as part of today’s weekly PlayStation Store update. There were no details on pricing but we speculate that it will cost between £5.99 – £7.99 based on the US PlayStation Store price of $9.99.

E3 2009: Final Fantasy XIV Announced
In addition to announcing Final Fantasy VII at Sony’s E3 Press Conference Today, Final Fantasy XIV (14) was also announced as a exclusive PlayStation 3 title. Although Square Enix has been working on completing Final Fantasy XIII, it still managed to find the time to develope another game in parallel. Final Fantasy XIV will be a online only title (MMORPG) similar to Final Fantasy XI which was released on the PC. The game will be available to purchase in 2010, though an exact release date was not given.
E3 2009: Final Fantasy VII Coming to PlayStation Store Today
Over the weekend we reported that Final Fantasy VII had been listed on the ESRB website for the PlayStation 3 and PSP as a PSOne classic downloadable from the PlayStation Store. In Sony’s E3 Press Conference today, Jack Tretton announced that Final Fantasy VII will be available to download today. We’ve just checked the US PlayStation Stores but it isn’t up yet.

Limited Edition Dissidia Final Fantasy Entertainment Pack Unveiled
The Dissidia: Final Fantasy PSP entertainment pack was unveiled yesterday, exclusive to GameStop (US). If you are a Final Fantasy fan, you couldn’t ask for a better bundle package. The entertainment pack somes with a silver PSP-3000, Dissidia: Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children on UMD and a 2GB Memory Stick Duo – all for only $199. The entertainment pack will be available to purchase from August 25th 2009, so you still have a few months to wait.
No Blu-Ray Final Fantasy XIII Demo for US or Europe
The Final Fantasy XIII Blu-Ray demo was released in Japan a few weeks ago, bundled with the the film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete. Unfortunately, there are no plans for a release outside of Japan, the game’s producer Yoshinori Kitase has told VideoGamer.com. Kitase did suggest a downloadable demo, saying “We hear that the demo version normally means something that you can download in the West, so that is a possibility.”
Final Fantasy XIII is should arrive on PlayStation 3 in Japan later this year, with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions due in Europe and North America no earlier than April 2010.
