Final Fantasy VII Remake Coming to PS4 in March 2020
The Final Fantasy VII remake has an official release date. Tetsuya Nomura, (Director) and Yoshinori Kitase (Producer) announced that the game will be releasing on the PS4 worldwide in March 2020, at the Final Fantasy VII: A Symphonic Reunion concert.

Sony is relaunching the original PlayStation in the form of PlayStation Classic. The mini console will come pre-loaded with 20 of the best games from the original PlayStation Console, including Final Fantasy VII, TEKKEN 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, Wild Arms and more to be announced. The PlayStation Classic will launch on 3rd December 2018 for £89.99 / €99.99.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will be Episodic
Final Fantasy VII Remake on the PS4 will be released in multiple parts according to the official press release. The original game was split over three physical discs, so remaking the game in an episodic structure may be the only way Square Enix can afford to produce the title. “If we took everything that’s in the original game and remade it at that quality, we couldn’t get it all on a single release,” says game director Kitase.

Final Fantasy VII fans will be happy to know that the game is making a comeback. It may not be the HD remake everyone is hoping for, but it’s still good news. A Square Enix-registered domain listed the PC version of game was available to download for £7.99 / €9.99. The site has since been taken down but Google cache still shows the contents of the site.
