At PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas earlier today, EA’s Peter Moore announced that the company is giving away three games for free, but only until the duration of the show. In short, you have until tomorrow evening to download the three games – one for each of Sony’s consoles.

Battlefield: Hardline Delayed into Early 2015
DICE has announced that cops-and-robber shooter Battlefield: Hardline has been delayed into early 2015. The game was scheduled for release on October 21st 2014 but has now been pushed back to 2015 following feedback from the recent beta. The extra development time will mean the Visceral Games team will be able to push the game further and make it even better.
Battlefield Hardline Announced, Coming This Autumn
EA has announced the next game in the Battlefield series, which will be fully revealed at their E3 press conference on June 9th. The game will be called Battlefield Hardline, and will be launching in Autumn. The game is a brand new series in the Battlefield franchise, and will focus on the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals.
EA Discontinues Online Passes
EA are discontinuing the controversial “online pass” program after end-user feedback, and none of the new EA titles will include them from now on. The online pass system requires consumers of second-hand games to purchase a pass, usually around £7.99, to access all the features of a game, normally the online or multiplayer component of the game.
EA Announce Army of TWO: The Devil’s Cartel
EA have announced the third installment of their co-op focused third-person shooter series, Army of Two. Set in the streets of Mexico players will take control of two operatives working for Tactical Worldwide Operations (T.W.O.), dropped into a drug war for an assignment full of corruption and deceit.
EA Officially Confirms Battlefield 4
EA has officially confirmed Battlefield 4 is in development after an advert promoting the Battlefiend 4 Beta was spotted on EA’s Origin. Those who pre-order the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition will gain access to the Battlefield 4 beta, a video on the official Medal of Honor website confirms.

An advert found on EA’s digital distribution service Origin, has given the first confirmation that Battlefield 4 is coming. The ad offers Battlefield 4 beta access to players who pre-order Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which is set to hit later this year.
EA’s Peter Moore Thinks All Games Will be Free-to-Play in 5 Years
Speaking in an interesting interview with Kotaku, the EA’s COO Peter Moore talks about microtransactions and how games will transform to use the free-to-play model in the next 5-10 years. He things that “microtransactions will be in every game, but the game itself or the access to the game will be free.”
Battlefield 3 Has Become the Fastest Selling Title in EA’s History
Since its launch on October 25 2011, Battlefield 3 has become the fastest selling title in EA’s 20+ year history selling more than 15 million units since release. Battlefield 3 has also won more than 120 awards including IGN.com’s “Best Multiplayer Game of 2011.”
EA Shutting Down Servers
EA has posted a new list on their website detailing server shutdowns. EA is removing servers to cut down costs, but they did note that it would affect less than 1% of their peak time online users. Some of these games may come as a shock to you, as they require online passes to use.
