Amazon UK Launches PSN Store
Amazon UK has launched a PSN Store on their website, allowing you to purchase PSN Codes for various content, including digital games, add-on content, top-ups and PlayStation Plus membership. The offerings are limited at the moment, but hopefully it means gamers will be able to purchase digital content at sightly lower prices that what the PlayStation Store currently offers.
PS4 Game Sizes and Prices Confirmed from PlayStation Store
The PlayStation Store is now available on the PS4 in the UK, revealing the prices and file sizes for the PS4 launch titles. Prices for games range from £11.99 for PSN titles to a massive £62.99 for AAA titles, including FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4, while file sizes range from just 393 MB to 38.2 GB.
Download Call of Duty: Ghosts Ahead of Worldwide Release
Activision’s latest first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Ghosts, officially releases worldwide tomorrow, but you can download it from the PlayStation Store today, in preparation for the official launch tomorrow. Square Enix has chosen to temporarily halt sales of the digital download version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn as they work to enhance their online server capabilities. The game has proved to be highly popular and was met by an “overwhelming positive response” from users, causing game-wide server issues.
The Last of Us Digital Version will be 25 GB
The Last of Us releases globally next week at retail and on the PlayStation Store, but if you’re getting the digital version, you might want to make some room on your console. The European version of the game will require at least 24 GB of free space on your console, and other regions may require up to 35 GB of free space.
Digital Version of The Last Of Us Can Be Played While It’s Downloading
If you’re looking to purchase the digital version of The Last Of Us, you’ll be happy to know that the game will be playable as it downloads. The PS4 will have this feature build-in for every game downloaded from the PlayStation Store, but Naughty Dog has taken the leap and have included the feature in their latest game. Speaking to Game Informer, Naughty Dog said that you’ll be able to start playing it when the game gets to about 50% downloaded.
SCEA Reveals 8 Titles for Day 1 Digital Release
October is a huge month for PlayStation, with a plethora of AAA titles hitting store shelves over the next four weeks. SCEA has revealed that eight of the titles will be available on the PlayStation Network the same day the games hit retail, thorugh a new program called PSN Day 1 Digital.
Starhawk Getting Digital Release Next Week
Starhawk will become a digital-download title next week when the game is added to the PlayStation Store. The game will be available to download in three different bundles, alongside the release of game patch v1.04. The PSN digital release and patch v1.04 will be available for download on September 26th 2012.
Borderlands 2 Gets Simultaneous PSN Digital Release
Borderlands 2 is just a week away from release, and Take Two has revealed that the game will be getting a PSN digital release on the same day the retail version goes on sale.
