SCEA have released the top PSN downloads chart for January 2013, revealing a many re-entries thanks to the January sales. On the PS3, The Unfinished Swan takes the top spot followed by LittleBigPlanet Karting. On the PS Vita, newcomer Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable takes the top spot.
The PAL PlayStation Store downloads chart has been released by Sony, and the top 10 PS3 list is full of new and old entries. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale re-enters the chart in fifth place, while Saints Row: The Third re-enters in top place. On the PSN Chart, newcomer The Cave enters the chart at number 2.
Namco Bandai latest JRPG has entered the UK Games Chart in top position. Ni No Kuni debuts as the top selling title this week, pushing former No. 1 title Call of Duty: Black Ops II down to third place, while FIFA 13 stays steady in second.
This week’s UK Games chart is pretty much the same as it’s been this year, mainly due to a lack of new releases. Newcomer DmC has dropped to fourth place after just one week on top of the chart, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II reclaims the top spot followed by FIFA 13 in second place.
Newcomer DmC: Devil May Cry has entered the UK Games chart in top position this week pushing down FIFA 13 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II to second and third place, respectively. It’s actually Capcom’s first game to go straight to number one since Resident Evil 5. The rest of the chart is pretty static, with Far Cry 3, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Assassin’s Creed III still in the Top 10.
Sony has released December’s PSN chart for PAL regions, showing a number of new titles entering the chart and also a few re-entries thanks to the festive sale on the Store. The top selling PS3 title was Far Cry 3 followed by Hitman Absolution. On the PS Vita, the top title was Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD.
The chart of top 10 publishers for 2012 have been published by GfK Chart-Track this week, but Sony has failed to make the cut, while the two other platform holders, Nintendo and Microsoft, both made the list. The chart is dominated by third-party publishers, with EA claiming top position.
After spending weeks on top of the UK Chart, Call of Duty: Black Ops II has finally lost its top spot to Far Cry 3. After spending many week in the top 10, Far Cry 3 finally managed to beat off the competition and claim biggest-selling title for the last week of 2012. In fact, Black Ops II has dropped to third place, with FIFA 13 climbing to second position.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II has continued selling well right through Christmas, staying in the top spot for another week. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is officially the number one Christmas game, beating off Far Cry 3 and Hitman: Absolution yet again.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II continues to dominate the UK sales Chart as we edge closer to the Christmas period. With just a few weeks to to until 2012 is over, Black Ops II looks likely to keep hold of the all-important top spot and become one of this year’s biggest selling games. In other movements, Hitman: Absolution has climbed right up from 6th to 2nd.
