Gearbox Software and 2K have announced that Borderland 2 is to receive a ‘Game of the Year’ edition, featuring the full game and all the DLC released for the game to date as a complete package. The GOTY edition will be released in North America on October 8th 2013, and in Europe on October 11tu 2013.
2K Games and Gearbox Software have released new DLC for Borderlands 2 a week ahead of schedule. The fifth character class in the Mechromancer DLC was released in North America yesterday, and will be released in Europe today. The DLC was originally scheduled for release next week, on October 16th 2012.
Borderlands 2 is just a week away from release, and Take Two has revealed that the game will be getting a PSN digital release on the same day the retail version goes on sale. If you don’t want to wait to get your game on launch day, you can pre-order the digital copy from the PlayStation Store, and have it automatically download to the PS3 when it’s up (PlayStation Plus subscribers only).
Gearbox Software and 2K Games have today released a brand new, 7 minute long, trailer for upcoming title, Borderlands 2, showing some of the aspects of the world of Pandora gamers can look forward. The trailer is titled “An Introduction by Sir Hammerlock”.
Gearbox has revealed that the Borderlands 2 campaign mode takes “58 hours to play”, and that’s just “one play through with one character.” Speaking to Gamerzines, Marketing VP for Gearbox, Steve Gibson, said the developers think of the game as a “hobby”.
