PlayStation is re-releasing ten of their Blu-ray games with collectable sleeves with the new Only on PlayStation Collection. According to Sony, these games are “a hand-picked selection of outstanding, exclusive games that define a generation.”

Universal Media Remote Announced for PS4, Available this Month
Sony has announced that the PS4 will finally be getting a Media Remote later this month in North America. The Universal Media Remote will let you turn on the system, navigate the UI, and control video content on apps like Netflix or on Blu-rays and DVDs more easily than using the DualShock 4 controller.
Minecraft PS4 Edition Blu-ray Release Confirmed for October
Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition has been available on the PlayStation Store since early September, but following a successful digital launch, Sony has revealed that a retail disc version of the game will be releasing in October. The Blu-ray disc version will be available to purchase from October 3rd 2014.
inFamous: First Light will be Available on Blu-ray in Europe
Sony has announced that the inFamous: First Light DLC will be getting a disc release in Europe on September 10th. The DLC is not part of inFamous: Second Son, and can be played without owning the full game. First Light tells the story of Fetch and the events of her life leading up to Second Son, exploring her time in Curdun Cay and various other new environments.
PS4 System Software Ver. 1.75
PS4 Firmware v1.75 is now available to download for, adding 3D Blu-ray support to the console among a few other changes. The new update was released over night, weighing in at 194 MB. In addition to 3D support, the firmware also moves all notifications on the top-right of the screen (like DualShock 4 notifications, System Messages) to the top-left, in line with all the other notifications.
PS4 Finally Getting 3D Blu-Ray Support with Firmware v1.75
Sony has announced that an upcoming Firmware update will finally allow users to watch their 3D Blu-Ray films on the PS4. The feature should really have been part of the PS4 at launch, but will now be included with PS4 Firmware Update 1.75. The announcement from Sony follows a similar one from Microsoft, which revealed 3D Blu-ray support for the Xbox One next month.
Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition Gets a Blu-ray Release
Minecraft has been the PlayStation Store’s most popular downloadble title on the PS3 for the past few months, with over 1.5 million downloads so far. Following the game’s massive success, it will now be getting a Blu-ray version in PAL regions from May 14th 2014.
Sony and Panasonic Working on Blu-ray Successor
Sony and Panasonic have announced that they’re working on a new optical disc with the capacity to hold a minimum of 300 gigabytes of content. The work on the new format is expected to be completed before the end of 2015, and will be the successor to the Blu-ray disc, which has a maximum capacity of 50GB in dual-layer format.
The Walking Dead Hits Retail in Europe Next Month
Telltale’s The Walking Dead will be releasing on Blu-ray disc next month across Europe and Australia. The five episode was previously only available on the PlayStation Network and later released on disc in North America last December. The game will finally be available in Europe, with all the episodes loaded on a single disc. The game will be available to purchase from Stores from May 10th 2013.

All five episodes of the game will be available to play on a single disk from December 4th 2012, presumabely after all five episodes have been released on the PlayStation Network.
