Sony have revealed a list of media and streaming apps that will be available on the PS5 from launch, which can be accessed from the new Media tab. So far, ten apps have been confirmed to be available on day one, including Netflix, YouTube and Apple TV.

PS4 Launch Entertainment Apps Revealed, LOVEFiLM & Netflix Confirmed for Launch
Following on from early reports of the PS4’s entertainment apps in Europe, Sony has released an official list of apps available at launch for Europe, confirming most of what we already knew, but also adding Netflix, LOVEFiLM and other services to the launch line-up. It was rumoured that many of the services would not be available for launch, and while a few services are still missing, it’s good to know that 18 services will be available across the SCEE region.
11 Digital Entertainment Apps Available on PS4 at Launch in North America
Sony has revealed that 11 entertainment apps will be available for the PlayStation 4 in North America from day one, including Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus and more. These services and others will be available to download on the console from November 15th in North America. It still remains to be seen which services will be available in Europe.
US PlayStation Store Update for September 4th 2012
Lots of new PS3, PSN and PS Vita games have been added to the North American PlayStation Store this week. You can also find a number of new Apps, PlayStation Plus content and a selection of new videos, DLC and more.
YouTube App for PS3 Available Today
Following on from the YouTube App for the PS Vita, the PS3 is also getting the YouTube App later today in North America. The app will be free to download from the PlayStation Store, and will feature a completely new experience for viewing YouTube. The app has been optimised for the big screen and the PS3.
Crunchyroll App Now Available on PS3
The Crunchyroll App is now available on the PS3, for all anime fans to enjoy. The app sports a very attractive and easy to use interface, allowing Crunchyroll premium members to watch our entire catalog of anime and Asian drama, while free members can stream a sizeable collection of our content.
Laugh Factory App Coming to PS3 in September
If you like comedy, you’ll be happy to know that a brand new app is coming to the PS3 called The Laugh Factory LIVE. It’s the first live comedy application available on any console, and it’s coming exclusively to PlayStation 3.
DUST 514 Beta in Summer and PS Vita App Announced
The first wave of beta invites for DUST 514 will be going out on June 29th 2012 and will run throughout that weekend. If you don’t get invited in the initial phase, you may still get a chance as several invite phases are planned. Also, starting this week as part of Sony’s Virtual E3 experience, DUST 514 will be fully integrated intoPlayStation Home.
Music Unlimited Now Available on iPhone and iPod Touch
The Music Unlimited App has finally launched onto the iPhone and iPod Touch. Already available on PS3, PSP, PS Vita, BRAVIA TV, Blu-ray Disc Players, Android Phones, tablets, personal computers and more, owners of the iPhone and iPod Touch can finally listen to their music collection on their device.
Sony Planning to Release iTunes-Rival On PSN
Sony Computer Entertainment chairman Kaz Hirai has revealed the firm has pencllled in an early 2010 launch date for its new iTunes-rivalling online service. In addition, Sony also plans to release a non-game development kit for the PlayStation Network in Q2, to encourage content providers to develop for the platform.
