The new PlayStation App for Android and iOS is starting to roll-out to users, and while it’s a step in the right direction, it also removed features that you have grown accustomed to over the years. This includes the removal of “What’s New” feed that informs you of recent activity from friends.

Channel 4’s All 4 app is now available to download for the PS4 in the UK. The app will allow PS4 owners to view brand new original digital content such as Channel 4’s Shorts available and exclusive acquisitions including Married At First Sight (US series).
Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed (via twitter) that Sony are working on a official app to bring PS4 Remote Play functionality to the PC and Mac. Although a release date has not be revealed, this is good news for gamers with only one TV in the household.
HBO CEO Richard Plepler has announced that HBO and PlayStation have partnered to offer the popular HBO GO app on the PS3, with a PS4 version to follow. Gamers with an HBO subscription will have unlimited, on-demand access to HBO shows like Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and True Detective on their consoles with the HBO GO app.
The new PlayStation App for iOS and Android is now available to download, just in time for the PS4’s release in North America. The Android App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store here, while the iOS app is currently only available on iTunes in North America here, and expected to be available in Europe very soon.
Sony Europe have announced that a new YouTube application will be available for the PS3 today. The application can be downloaded for free from the XMB in the [My Channels] section of the [TV / Video Services] menu. The app is “designed for the big screen and PS3 controls” and “has search tools to find videos faster and easier” says Sony.
The Official PlayStation Mobile App is getting its first major update since it was released back in January. The next version, v1.1, will include some requested features and will be available to download from iTunes and Android Market in a few weeks. Back in December, SCEE announced an official PlayStation App for iPhone and Android handsets. Today, that application is now available to download from the Apple App Store and Android Market. The app is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch with OS 4 and above, and most Android handsets with a minimum of OS 1.6.
