Life with PlayStation has been delayed yet again, as Sony are still pushing paperwork to get the service live. According to Noam Rimon, Sr. Development Manager SCEA R&D, the service will be available soon and will be part of the Folding@Home project. The service will be free and accessible directly from the XMB. Life with PlayStation will feed live content to your PS3 with updates
on news and weather on a visually stunning and interactive global map.

The PlayStation Video Store update for this week is in, adding 12 new television series to the catalogue and over 30 movies. The new television series include Burn Notice, The Unit, Xam’d and Rescue Me. The movies include Just Married, Police Academy 7 and Rocky I. This weeks top 20 downloads have also changed, with Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay on top, followed by 21 in second place and The Bank Job in third place.

flOw was one of the first PSN games to be released, as was originally a Flash game on the PC. On release, the game didn’t support trophies but a patch was added later supporting a total of 14 trophies. You can unlock one gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze trophies in flOw.
The last PlayStation Store update for August is in, and its a big one for the US, and an average one for Europe (as usual!). The Last Guy is now available to purchase from both stores and there are also new demos available. Warhawk booster pack, Operation: Fallen Star, is also available to purchase from both stores. The US has also received a large selection of new videos and trailers, while Europe has received a smaller selection. Check out the complete list below.

The fifth Warhawk patch is now available to download. Warhawk patch v1.5 adds trophy support as well as in-game music. The patch is only 66MB in size so it shouldn’t take too long to download. The new Warhawk booster pack is also out now. Operation: Fallen Star can be purchased from the PlayStation Store and adds lots of new features to the game, including a Jet Pack and new map.
There is an entirely new level – Tau Crater, a smoky, forested island that features lots of vertical elements to give players tons of cools places to use the jetpack. In total there are 10 new layouts for Tau Crater, as well as a massive 30 new layouts for the original maps.
The patch is free to download while the booster pack must be purchased from the PlayStation Store. You can download all three Warhawk booster packs for a discounted price of $15.99 or buy Operation: Fallen Star for $7.99.
A huge update for the PlayStation Video Store this week, with new content for 17 television series and 21 new movies now available to rent or purchase. New TV series include The Unit, Season 2; Chuck; American Dad; and American Chopper. New movies include Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon; Romeo + Juliet; Shaft; The Exorcist; and White Chicks. As for this week’s top 20 video downloads, Drillbit Taylor is still on top for the third week running, followed by The Bank Job in second and Family Guy, Season 6 in third place.
Jumper, from last week’s top three has dropped to fourth place, and Meet the Spartans has dropped to fifth place.

A big PlayStation Store update for both Europe and the US this week, with two new demos for Europe and three new demos for the US. Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty is now available to purchase from both stores too. Both stores have received lots of game trailers from the Leipzig Games Convention as well new game add-on content. Members of PlayStation Underground should have received an email today on PlayStation 3 News. Within the email, details of the fourth episode of Qore are revealed. Coming out in September, Qore Episode 4 will feature LittleBigPlanet, Prince of Persia, MotorStorm Pacific Rift and Bioshock. To further add to this, subscribers and customers will get to download and play the MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo before anyone else.
The demo will be exclusive to Qore customers, with a general public release coming a month later. Episode 4 will also come with a Qore-exclusive LittleBigPlanet XMB Theme, which will not be available to anyone else. Look out for more details next month.
A new 160GB PS3 model has been announced at the Leipzig Games Convention. The US 160GB model will come bundled with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, while the European version will come with vouchers. The new model will launch in November retailing for $499.99/€499.99. The new model will launch in Europe on October 31st 2008, and the US in November. The soon-to-be-launched 80GB PS3 model will continue to retail at $399.99.
The 160GB PS3 model will be exactly the same as the 80GB model in terms of specification, except for double the hard disk space. The system will come with a DualShock 3 controller, and the hard drive will be packed full of demos, videos and other content.
