The upcoming Assassin’s Creed games for the PSP and PlayStation 3 will be interconnectable, allowing certain unlockables to be transferred between the two different games. This includes currency conversion between the PSP and PS3 versions and health upgrades from the PS3 to PSP versions (details below). The PSP-3000 will be bundled with Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines and will be available to purchase from November 17th. The bundle will also come with a 2GB Memory Stick Duo and a download voucher for the movie “Angels and Demons”.
PlayStation Video Store Update for Oct 2nd 2009
With this year’s fall TV season in full swing, all your favorite TV shows can be downloaded from the PlayStation Video Store – new episodes are available on the Store the same day their air on TV. New TV episodes include Dollhouse, Bones, House and Two and a Half Men. Don’t forget to also check out selected free TV episodes on the store. This weeks top movie downloads include Observe and Report, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, and Adventureland.
Ghostbusters Coming To PSP In November
Ghostbusters was released on the PlayStation 3 and other consoles back in June. Atart has announced that the PSP version of the game will be available in November. The PSP version is developed by RedFly Studios, which also developed the PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of the game. You can expect similar single-player campaigns, including the story written by the movie’s stars Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd.
Media Go v1.2
A new version of the Media Go application is now available to download for the PC. The free PC software already lets you manage the games, movies, music and videos for your PSP but Sony made a few improvements for you in Media Go version 1.2. The first improvement is that you can now transfer play lists from your PC to your PSP, so you can have specific playlists ready to take with you on your PSP whenever and wherever you want.
Sony: PS3 Disc Drive Errors Not A Firmware Issue
When firmware 3.0 was first released, there were many reports of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune freezing and various parts in the game. Since then, Sony release Firmware v3.01 to patch the issue. While the optional patch did work for some, it also caused more problems for others. The comments section of PlayStiaton Blog’s Firmware 3.01 announcement has been overwhelmed by user reports of disc drive errors since Firmware 3.00 and 3.01 were released; most commonly, read errors reportedly occur when running Blu-ray games or movies, but in some alleged cases plain old DVDs are not working either.
PlayStation Store Update for Oct 1st 2009
This week on the PlayStation Store, there is lots of new content available for download. Both the US and European Stores have price promotions on many titles. Europe has also received five new playable demos and the US has two. The October Episode of Qore is now available to download on the US Store. As for game add-on content, the Watchmen LittleBigPlanet costumes are out and new Fallout 3 content.

PlayStation Home v1.3 Available Today
After some delay, version 1.30 of PlayStation Home will finally be released later today.
