The PlayStation 3 PlayTV software has been updated to v1.21 today. The biggest change in the 24MB patch is the ability to watch, pause and record high-definition TV, though it’s not clear which countries this feature applies to. Other features include multi-channel audio playback, improved remote play usability, better SD upscaling, and support for Sony’s Aino remote play.
PlayStation Home Version v1.32
PlayStation Home will be updated to v1.32 tomorrow addressing issues in the current version of PlayStation Home. Originally, the update was supposed to go live today but has been pushed back by a day. The update will add three new game spaces: Uncharted 2, Tekken 6 and Street Fighter 4. The latter two will only be available in the US for the time being. As we mentioned earlier this week, the Uncharted 2 space will feature three mini-games.
The Uncharted Motion Comic Trailer
If you are unfamiliar with the story of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune but want to play Among Thieves, Naughty Dog has released a motion comic to fill you in on the action. The motion comic will be available in four parts, of which, we have a trailer of the first episode below. The Uncharted Motion Comics’ first episode goes live on PSN later today, and the complete set of four will be available by the end of November. The individual price for each episode has yet to be confirmed but you can purchase all four episode for $2.49.

The first of two Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time demos will be available to download from the PlayStation Store tomorrow. That’s correct – there will be two demos available for this game. The Clank Demo will be released as part of tomorrow’s PlayStation Store update.
GTA: Chinatown Wars Now Available
Grand Theft Auto: China Chinatown Wars is now available on the PSP via the PlayStation Store and on UMD. Originally released on the Nintendo DS, Chinatown Wars brings a unique, arcade-like approach to the series. On the PSP, the game includes some exclusive missions, music, re-optimized controls, and an intense high-resolution graphical overhaul that could only be done on this platform.
Uncharted 2 Space Enters PlayStation Home
The Uncharted 2 PlayStation Home Space will be going live tomorrow. The PlayStation Space will feature a Nepalese village environment contains no less than three mini-games as well as an array of must have PlayStation Home Rewards, leaderboards and more. Take part in the multiplayer Fortunate Thieves adventure or try and re-assemble all of the pieces of the shattered mask for the mysterious Stone Face in Mask Mayhem.
Oddworld Coming to PSN This Week
The PSOne Classics Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus will both be available on the PlayStation Store for only $9.99 each starting Thursday, October 22. Finally, gamers who never got the chance to meet and play as Abe when he first came out on the PSone system, will now get that chance to meet the guy who graced many magazine covers and proved the unlikely hero that captured people’s hearts.
Pre-order Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! on UMD
To aid NIS America’s decision to release Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! on UMD, a UMD pre-order process has been started. Fans of the game have been asking for a UMD release for some time, but NISA is concerned about the actual demand. You can pre-order your copy from RosenQueen.com. However, in order to make it possible for NISA to manufacture the UMD, they will have to get at least 1000 orders.
Calling All Cars Server To Be Shutdown
The Calling All Cars servers will be shutting down in the new year, making it the first game to shut down its servers. On January 14th 2010, the servers will be taken offline. The only way to play the game from this date is locally. The announcement was made in-game. Calling All Cars has been available for a few years now so it’s about time really.
