Modern Warfare 2 begins five years after the events of the original game with the world in an unsettled state, on the brink of global warfare. The main reason behind this is a man called Vladimir Makarov, the leader of a Russian ultra-nationalist organisation, with ambitions of global chaos.
Free DLC for Topatoi Available Today
As you probably know, Topatoi, a PSN-exclusive heroic 3D platformer is available at US PlayStation Store for just $9.99. Today, the Arcade Style Pack DLC will also hit the PlayStation Store, adding new features and characters. Even better, the DLC is free to download. In addition, Natalia from Boolat Games also revealed that Episode 2 of Topatoi is currently undergoing testing.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta Starts Nov 19th
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is scheduled for release in March 2010, but to whet you appetite, the beta for the PlayStation 3 will be available from November 19th 2009. The beta will feature the huge ‘Arica Harbour’ map where up to 24 players compete to secure valuable crates in the ‘Rush’ game mode as the action moves across a variety of different locations. Getting access to the beta will differ from country to country, but see below for some pointers.
inFamous Goes Platinum
One of the best exclusive PlayStation 3 titles this year, inFamous, is going platinum. If you haven’t had a chance to play as Cole MacGrath, you can get the platinum version of the game from November 11th 2009, for £19.99 / €24.99. inFamous features 50 trophies to collect and has an amazing story line, with motion comic cut-scenes. The platinum trophy can be earned in two play-throughs of the game, making it a perfect title for trophy whores.

MLB and Lucasfilm Join US PlayStation Video Store
This week, Sony reports the launch of several new partners on PlayStation Network that offer even more downloadable entertainment and sports from PlayStation Video Store. Lucasfilm Ltd. adds Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a CGI animated TV series set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy to the store and MLB content has also been added for baseball fans.
Military Madness: Nectaris And Numblast Available on PSN This Week
Two new PSN titles hit the US PlayStation Store this week. First off, Military Madness: Nectaris will be released this Thursday on the PSN, featuring native 1080p graphics and focusing on multiplayer. Numblast, which is already available in Europe and Japan, is a addictive puzzle game (available for both PS3 and PSP) at the attractive price of $4.99 for either platform.
SCEE Announced European Video Store Launch Titles
Later this month, the PlayStation Video store launches in Europe after being available in the US for more than a year. Sony has announced a number of titles that will make the initial launch, including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The service will allow movie fans to download the latest releases straight to their PlayStation 3 and PSP for viewing at home or on.
