Comet Crash as received a free update, bringing the game to version v1.03. The update introduces new levels, new maps, new Battle settings and a new difficulty mode. The fresh additions showcase the best of what Comet Crash has to offer, while making sure fans have plenty to keep them warm during the holidays. In Comet Crash, players must use everything at their disposal, including defenses bristling with high-tech weaponry, to stop the rush of enemies from destroying their base.
Facebook Coming to PlayStation 3
Some images found on the PlayStation Website suggest that Facebook and Customizable profile cards will be coming to the PlayStation 3 in a future firmware update. The images have since been taken down from the UK PlayStation Website but its a little too late, as this story is spreading like rapid fire across the Internet.
Modern Warfare 2 Patch 1.02 Released
A new patch for Modern Warfare 2 is now available to download, addressing the trophy bug we wrote about earlier this week. The v1.02 patch, however, does not address other issues in the game, such as problems in inviting friends to join in a multiplayer game via the Party System. A new patch will be released this Friday to address some of the other issues in the game.
24kt Gold PlayStation 3 Slim
If you like a little bling in your life, the 24 karat gold PlayStation 3 is sure to impress you. The gold PS3 is the creation of Computer-Choppers, who dipped the PlayStation 3 Slim casing in gold – even the DualShock 3 controller is available in gold. Only five of these gold consoles exist, and as of yet, no pricing information is available.
Dante’s Inferno Demo Coming to PS3 Next Month
Dante’s Inferno is the latest game from Visceral Games, the creators of Dead Space. Dante’s Inferno is a third-person action adventure adaptation of the medieval epic poem The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, and is expected to be a great experience for gamers. A playable demo of the game will be released on the PlayStation Network next month.
Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition Will be DLC
Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition, which was announced at the Tokyo Game Show ’09 will be heading to the west as downloadable content. Capcom has confirmed it has opted against a boxed product version following the results of its recent poll. Over 1500 participants voted for the content to be released as a digital download, compared to 900 who requested a physical edition.
New Rag Doll Kung Fu Characters Incoming
Two new characters are coming to the PSN title Rag Doll Kung Fu, both of which will be available on the PlayStation Store this week for free! The “Mistress of Mime” and “Shaolin Scarecrow” were created by Tarsier Studios with help from the Rag Doll Kung Fu competition winners. Both characters will be available on the PlayStation Store from November 12th 2009.
Modern Warfare 2 Trophy Bug
After booting up our copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the first time, you will be prompted to download a 15mb patch for the game. However, it seems that this patch is causing issues with the trophy system. On playing the game for the first time, the trophy list should be loaded on to your console, but this isn’t always the case. As a result, you will not be able to earn any trophies unless the list has been loaded.
MAG Beta Now In Phase 4
The next phase of the MAG Beta has just kicked off. The game has seen more than 6,000 changes from our last phase to Beta 4, not the least of which include an increased level cap from 40 to 60, a retooled skill tree and experience curve, and an improved ranking system. Two new major features have been added to Beta 4, including “proximity chat”, which allows you to hear enemies communicating as you get closer, and the Shadow War bonuses system, which rewards players based on the number of contracts own by their PMC.
Braid Coming to PSN This Week
This Thursday November 12th, Braid descends upon the PlayStation Network. Braid is a platform/puzzle game, originally released on August 6, 2008 on Xbox Live Arcade, and is now coming to the PS3. The enigmatic story describes the attempt of a man named Tim to rescue a princess from a monster. The game features traditional aspects of the platform genre; the player runs, jumps, and climbs through a linear set of stages, while solving puzzles and defeating enemies.
