Team Typhoon have developed a working custom firmware for the PSPgo, making use of a exploit in the system software. Unfortunately, the custom firmware will not be released to the public, in order to prevent the exploit from being patched in a future firmware version. Netflix Instant Streaming PS3 Video
You can now stream Netflix videos directly onto your PlayStation 3. The Blu-Ray discs required for streaming are shipping now, and will soon be available as a native application on the XMB. We have a video showing exactly how the disc works. The disc makes use of the Blu-Ray Live features to stream videos directly to your PS3, and it works pretty well.
Call of Duty Classic Removed From PSN
The PSOne classic Call of Duty has been removed from the European PlayStation Store, “as it was never supposed to be available for purchase,” according to MusterBuster on the European PlayStation Forum. Currently, only gamers who have purchased Modern Warfare 2 can download Call of Duty, using the voucher code found in the game case.
Modern Warfare 2 Patch v1.03 Out Now
A new patch is now available to download for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The patch fixes the PlayStation 3 invite problems that have been happening since the game launched earlier this week. Robert Bowling, Director of Communications and Community Manager for Infinity Ward, announced the release of the patch on twitter, saying “invites on PSN are good to go now.”
adhocParty for PSP Available Soon
Great news for all of you Ad Hoc fans out there –adhocParty for the PSP system, which first launched in Japan last year, is coming to North America! AdhocParty is an online service that allows PSP owners with a PS3 system to connect to one another via the PlayStation Network. It will be available as a free download on the PlayStation Store soon.
Facebook Confirmed for PS3
A source close to Sony has told Eurogamer that yes, Facebook is heading to PS3. The images of the service that appeared on the PlayStation website earlier this week, were posted by mistake and later taken down. The official Sony UK PR line is that there will be more information on this “very shortly”.
PlayStation Video Store Update for Nov 13th 2009

Final Fantasy XIII Gets EU / US Release Date
Remember that promise of a big announcement from Square-Enix earlier this week? Well, it wasn’t that big of an announcement after all. A “never before seen” footage of the game is now available to view in PlayStation Home, giving you further insight into the game. Along with the new video, Square-Enix has also confirmed the western release date for the game. Final Fantasy XIII will hit Europe and North America on March 9th 2010.

This week on the PSP PlayStation Store, three new games are available to download from the European PlayStation Store, and five are available from the US Store. Both stores have received new PSP Minis titles too – three for Europe and one for the US. This week on the PlayStation Store, there are a number of new games and demos available on the US Store. Unfortunately, the European Store only has a number of new DLC, game videos and a few new premium themes. Braid is now available to purchase from the US Store as well as Star Trek: D-A-C. New downloadable content includes new packs for PAIN, two new characters for Rag Doll Kung Fu, and track for Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
