2010 is looking to be a big year for Sony with many exclusives and hotly anticipated titles. In fact, Q1 of 2010 is likely to be a expensive period for PlayStation gamers, with the likes of MAG, Heavy Rain and Gran Turismo 5 scheduled for release. We’ve put together a list of five titles every PlayStation gamer should experience in the New Year.
The latest footage from PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain comes from the Polish version of the game. The video shows some of the QTE (Quick Time Events) in the game and also contains some of that much talked about nudity, so be sure not to watch the video at work. If you were looking forward to the third iteration of SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo, we have some bad news for you. Slant Six and SCEA have confirmed that Fireteam Bravo 3 will be delayed again, making it the second delay to the title. The game was originally supposed to be released in November 2009, but was then pushed back to January 12th 2010. A new release date has not been revealed but we expect one in the next few weeks.
The ModNation Racers Beta is well underway at the moment in the US, allowing users to create their own character and car, and race them around the online world. Mark Riddell, a track designer for ModNation Racers, has kindly put a video walkthrough together on the Track Studio (see below), taking you through some of the features the Track Studio provides.

Assassin’s Creed 2 is getting two downloadable packs early next year, with the first pack out in January followed by another in February. The DLC packs, Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities, were originally supposed to be part of the main game, but was dropped due to time constraints. “I felt that, ‘Okay, there were too many things to do and to finish.’ So we said, ‘Okay, let’s take a portion of the game that was planned and we’ll give it in DLC.’ We’ll remove some stress to the team while giving more to fans and people who like Assassin’s Creed,” Patrice Desilets told Kotaku.
Despite launching over 550 titles last week, the Digital Comics Store has been updated today, adding further titles. Just like the regular PlayStation Store, the Comic store will be updated each and every week. This week, 8 new titles have been added to the UK Store and 10 new titles to the US Store. The European PSP Store has been updated with new content earlier than usual this week, as Thursday is Christmas Eve. This week, a number of additional titles have been discounted and two new games have been added to the Store. Four new Minis titles are available to purchase in Europe too. On the US Store, a number of premium themes have been added two new playable demos.
