Assassin’s Creed 2 DLC Coming Early 2010
Assassin’s Creed 2 is getting two downloadable packs early next year, with the first pack out in January followed by another in February. The DLC packs, Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities, were originally supposed to be part of the main game, but was dropped due to time constraints. “I felt that, ‘Okay, there were too many things to do and to finish.’ So we said, ‘Okay, let’s take a portion of the game that was planned and we’ll give it in DLC.’ We’ll remove some stress to the team while giving more to fans and people who like Assassin’s Creed,” Patrice Desilets told Kotaku.
Digital Comics Update for Dec 22nd 2009
Despite launching over 550 titles last week, the Digital Comics Store has been updated today, adding further titles. Just like the regular PlayStation Store, the Comic store will be updated each and every week. This week, 8 new titles have been added to the UK Store and 10 new titles to the US Store. PSP PlayStation Store Update for Dec 22nd 2009
The European PSP Store has been updated with new content earlier than usual this week, as Thursday is Christmas Eve. This week, a number of additional titles have been discounted and two new games have been added to the Store. Four new Minis titles are available to purchase in Europe too. On the US Store, a number of premium themes have been added two new playable demos.
adhocParty Now Available in Europe
adhocParty is finally available to download in Europe. It’s been over a month since it was released in the US and even long in Japan. adhocParty is an online service that allows PSP owners with a PS3 system to connect to one another via the PlayStation Network. adhocParty enables you to play games featuring Ad Hoc mode, such as Gran Turismo and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, over the Internet through the PS3.
God of War: Blood & Metal EP Announced
For those that have been waiting for another reason to pre-order God of War III Ultimate Edition, this might just be your tipping point. Announced today through Roadrunner Records, the EP titled God of War: Blood & Metal, will be released in March as a part of the God of War III Ultimate Edition, and will feature five exclusive unreleased songs from Roadrunner artists, including KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, DREAM THEATER, TRIVIUM, OPETH and TAKING DAWN.
PlayStation Store Update for Dec 22nd 2009
The PlayStation Store has been updated today, rather than the usual Thursday updates. A large number of games have been discounted until January 7th 2010. PSOne classic Vagrant Story is now available to purchase, and new playable demos have been added too. The first set of Premium Avatars are also available for purchase, all based on LittleBigPlanet. adhocParty is also finally available in Europe too. The LittleBigPlanet Pirates of the Caribbean costumes are available to purchase on both the US and European Stores.
Details Of Premium PSN Subscriptions Leaked
A survey sent to Kotaku from IPSOS Online Research gives an indication into the type of packages that Sony might be offering via paid subscriptions to the PlayStation Network. The survey gives an indication of cost and features that will be available for each option, including: 1 one hour trial of full titles, cross-game voice chat and free access to PSOne classics, PSP Minis and PS3/PSP themes, and member only in-game content.
LittleBigPlanet Accessory Bundle Advert References PSP-4000
The PSP-4000 model may be just around the corner, as a new LittleBigPlanet advert suggests. The below advert for the LittleBigPlanet PSP Accessory pack, which ran in MCV’s latest “Digital Edition”, references the PSP-4000 in addition to the current PSP models and the PSPgo. The details on the PSP-4000 has yet to be revealed, but we speculate that it will still feature the UMD drive and be even smaller than the PSP-3000.
