The Sony Motion Controller, codenamed Gem, will apparently be called “Arc” when it is released later this year. An anonymous source revealed to VG247 that the motion controller will be called Arc, though Sony has once again declined to comment on “rumour or speculation.”
God of War III Details

God of War III is one of the most anticipated exclusives this year on the Playstation 3 – come critics have gone as far as calling it the Game of the Year this early into 2010. Sony recently revealed several technical graphical details on GOW, stating it will run at 720p with 1080p up-scaling. Furthermore, Stig Asmussen, the director of the game, revealed in an interview with Arabic gaming site N4GA that his title will have a variable frame rate from 30 to 60 frames per second depending on the amount of action on screen.
Tekken 6 Patch v1.03 Now Available

The latest patch for Tekken 6 has now gone live, adding the promised online co-op for the Scenario Campaign mode. Booting up Tekken 6 will prompt you to download the 16MB patch. Creating a online co-op game will allow you to setup the game just like you would in the normal online mode. You will be able to select parameters on games you wish to create or join, such as difficulty setting, voice chat, connectivity, and which stage you’d like to play in.
New God of War III Screens

Many gamers have been looking forward to the release of new screens for God of War III today. The press embargo is finally over and a host of new screens have been released to the public. From now until the game’s release in March 2010, you can expect more screens and information on this highly anticipated title.
Uncharted 3 In Production This Year

The voice behing Nathan Drake, Nolan North, has spilled the beans on the third entry to the Uncharted series. North has apparently revealed he’s to reprise his role as Nathan Drake this year, suggesting that Uncharted 3 will be in production this year. A third title is clearly nothing to be surprised about as the series has been selling incredibly well.
UK PlayStation Video Store Update for Jan 18th 2010

This week on the UK PlayStation Video Store, the unrated version of The Hangover is now available for purchase and rent. Other new movies include The Proposal and Fireball for rent, and The Punisher and Imagine That for purchase, among other titles. All in all, only six new movies are available for purchase and a mere four new titles to rent.

MAG Beta 5.0 Statistics

Developers of MAG, Zipper Interactive, have revealed the statistics to the latest MAG Beta which took place earlier this month. Just like the statistics for the previous betas, the Beta 5 stats were astonishing, with over 1 million downloads of the beta client and over 619,000 gaining at least one experience point in the six-day window that beta was available on.
Gran Turismo 5 Development 90% Complete

Earlier this week we reported that GT5 was being delayed in Japan, with a new release date to be announced. Well, it turns out that the game isn’t completely finished yet. Speaking in an interview with USA Today at CES earlier this month, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi said: “About 90% of the game is done. We are just working on the last 10% and polishing up everything.”
