The BAFTA Video Games Awards 2010 are now over and the results are in! Our predictions for the winners in some of the categories were almost correct – Uncharted 2: Among Thieves scooped five awards including Best Action Game and Best Story. Batman: Arkham Asylum was second, winning two awards in Best Game and Best Gameplay. Surprisingly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 only managed to get one award – and it wasn’t for it’s online play.
MAG DLC Coming Next Week
The first downloadable content will be heading to MAG next week, on March 25th 2010, and best of all, it’s free! Dubbed the “Trooper Gear Pack,” the will offer a number of cool goodies for veterans and first timers alike. Out of everything in the pack, the most popular will likely be the oft-requested “Flashbang Grenade” that can be used to confuse, disorient or distract your enemies in a single throw.
PlayStation Store Update for Mar 18th 2010
This week on the PSP Store, Episode 5 of The Tester is available to download from the US store, marking the half-way point for season 1. A number of new downloadable games are also available including Patchwork Heroes in both the US and Europe. Europe has a larger selection of new games this week, so be sure to check out the complete list below.
Limited Edition Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP
If you are a Metal Gear Solid fan, this is something you don’t want to miss. Along with the release of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP, Sony will also be releasing a limited edition entertainment pack, which will contain a “Spirited Green” PSP-3000 system and the game on UMD.
PlayStation Home Gets GAME Space
PlayStation Home has been updated with a new space from GAME, the UK high street retailer. The GAME Moonbase is set on the Moon’s surface , offering gamers an information hub, with posters, internet terminals and a video screen. On the second floor you’ll find everything you need to let your hair down: a dance floor, meeting places and more.
Sony Launches PlayStation Blog Share
Sony has launched a new section called Share on the PlayStation.Blog which will enable users to post their own ideas on how Sony can improve the PlayStation experience. Users can also vote on suggestions made by others, after which the most popular ideas would be considered for implementation by Sony!
Digital Comics Update for Mar 18th 2010
This week on the Comic store, Markosia Enterprises has joined the Digital Comics team, so lookout for their content very soon. This week, you will find Dragon Age, which is in the digital comics store ahead of its release in comic book shops. Also, All Hail Megatron, the final episode of Locke & Key, plus 5 more issues of Vintage X-Men (1963) from Marvel.

The BAFTA Video Game Awards will be taking place tomorrow evening and we’ve made our predictions for the winners for some of the award categories below. So far Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has scooped up many awards over the past few months and we expect the title to do well tomorrow too.
PlayStation Move Screens and Product Information
Now that the Motion Controller has been finally given a name, Sony has also released the first high-res images of the controller itself (see below). The controller will be available to purchase as a stand-alone product or as part of a bundle, either consisting of a game, the PS3 console or the PlayStation Eye camera. Sony is looking to price a bundle consisting of a Move controller, Eye camera and game all under $100.
