Square Enix’s Unannounced Game Will Shock You
Square Enix had something up their sleeves, if their twitter account is anything to go by. According to Sonia Im, Senior PR Manager for Square Enix, the company has a unannounced game that will shock people but didn’t reveal what it was. Sonia’s twitter account stated, “Think people are going to be shocked and stoked.”
MAG Patch v1.05 Details
Over the last few weeks, the MAG team have been prepping some behind-the-scenes updates in an effort to maximize your shooting experience in the 256-player shooter. As a result, MAG will soon be patched to version v1.05. The patch will be available starting Monday, April 19 at 1am Pacific/ 4am Eastern/ 9am GMT. Full details on the changes can be found below.
LittleBigPlanet Sequel Unofficially Revealed
Sony hasn’t announced the sequel to LittleBigPlanet yet, but it is apparently on the way according to IGN latest find. Electronic musician Ochre announced on his Twitter feed that he has licensed a song called “Infotain Me” to Sony for LittleBigPlanet 2. Sony recently acquired developers MediaMolecule, who developed the first LittleBigPlanet title and are presumably also working on the sequel.
PlayStation Room for PSP Scrapped
The PlayStation Home equivalent for the PSP, PlayStation Room, has been scrapped according to Sony. The service was first announced at TGS 2009 last September, allowing users to interact with each other in a virtual world similar to PlayStation Home. The official site stating that all development of the service has been cancelled, bringing the closed beta to an end.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker – a Field Guide
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is almost here, exclusive to the PSP. The game pick up where Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater left off, with Naked Snake (Solid Snake’s father) returning as the lead role. The game is set in 1974’s Central America, in a war-weary time at the tail end of the Vietnam Conflict, exploring the philosophical and political ramifications of war as commerce, as well as its longterm deleterious effects on society, the economy, and ourselves.
PlayStation Move Developer Diary – The Fight: Lights Out
John McLaughlin, producer on the new PlayStation Move brawler The Fight: Lights Out, has released a Developer Diary Video talking about the upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive. The game is currently in alpha state but the developers have done a good job in conducted a ton of motion capture to ensure that every punch, every hit reaction, every dirty move and every hard-hitting knockout makes the player feel right in the thick of the action.
US PlayStation Store Update Day Changing Too
We recently reported that the day on which the PlayStation Store is updated for Europe is moving to Wednesdays from May 2010. It has now been confirmed that the US PlayStation Store update day is moving too, but to Tuesdays from May 2010. The news was revealed in this week’s episode (4/15) of PULSE.
US PlayStation Video Store Update for April 16th 2010
Time for this week’s US PlayStation Video Store update. This week’s Deal of the Week (up to 50% off!) has a RACING theme, so check out Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Rick Bobby and Driven. New to the Store is Marvel’s Ironman Extremis and there is a free episode of the new CMT series, Danger Coast.
